Title: Bo's been fighting gas? stasis?

Bo B Bunny - September 11, 2007 02:41 AM (GMT)
Bo had little wet poos like cecals today then some really small and hard poos.

I tried to get him to eat and excercise and things are a bit better.

He doesn't like Simethicone. <_<

Does he like oatmeal??? It's really good for drying up the wet poos. I hope he gets better :)

Some oatmeal is good but not too much cause it will cause more poopy butts.
I found flaxseed is a good source of fibre, along with apple, and some sunflower seeds. Yogurt might help balance the stomach flora and add hydration to the system. Give him a shot of NutriCal.

Tummy rubs, fresh cut and dried grass hay from the inlaw's field, lots of fresh water, excercise and kisses seem to have done the trick! Oh and a bit of simethicone on his foot! LOL!

He's back to being his little stubborn self.

Now that I have Clover who is really psycho (still the wild in her) and then little Heidi who is sweet but a little psycho, I realize that Bo is very sweet but very stubborn and such a brat! He's so spoiled!

I'm glad Bo is better :) :o Who's Heidi?? When did you get her?

Bo B Bunny - September 13, 2007 05:58 AM (GMT)
Heidi is a baby Palomino we got not a month ago! She's so cute! The kids wanted her and one of them will show her for 4H this year. Bo wants nothing to do with her! LOL!

Aww

I'm glad Bo is feeling better! :)

I sure wish I could figure out how to cure Ellie of her poopy butt....sigh. I've come to the conclusion it's just the way she is. She seems happy and healthy otherwise.

Some rabbits are just like that. There was a lionhead at the rescue that needed bathed every day (I still remember the smell of him) and nothing would cure it.
I'm glad Bo's okay. Sorry I haven't been around to reply to this, we've been up in Scotland on holiday.

Thanks Ang! I was wondering where you were.

bo's jealous of Heidi for one thing! I think he just got himself all stressed out -

Heidi, molting, weather changing, and I was trying to Bond he and Clover.

Bo got really bad over this weekend. He wasn't pooing at all, after a few real gooey ones. Then he wouldn't really eat much.

I went into full force with oats, pumpkin, anythign he would eat to help him move his gut.

He's pooing but it's still a bit hard and dark so we're working on that part but he's pooing!

Delphinum - October 9, 2007 07:50 PM (GMT)
Aww I hope he's okay. Give him a big snuggle from me!

Thanks! He's doing MUCH better now. Lexi was laughing so hard about it - he really had me worried - no poos for over 8 hours! and then she let him out to play......
