Title: It's been awhile.

slrabbits - July 21, 2007 06:46 PM (GMT)
Wow, so... I lost my password awhile back and sort of forgot about this place. :innocent: How is everyone doing?? Gosh, I can't believe it's been so long since I've talked to some of you.

As for me, man have I been busy the past couple of months. I started a new job back in April at the new Staples that opened in town (haha, I'm actually at work right now) working in the copy & print center. I really love my job, though my hours are sucky at the moment and it can get really boring... but still, it's pretty cool. I've really got to work on my graphic design skills, which is awesome, though I don't do much of it outside work anymore.

I'm really getting excitied as I will be going on vacation for about nine days starting next Friday. I haven't had a real vacation in a couple of years, so it's going to be great. I'll be going up to Indiana for a few days (we are actually going to the Brickyard 400 next weekend for my dad's birthday), and then I will be staying in Michigan for a few days as well. I can't wait to see everyone... some of my family I haven't seen in well over a year.

Let's see... Tristan and I broke up a few months ago. Things got really crappy and I still cannot believe I wasted a year and a half of my life with him. But it's cool... I've met someone new who is awesome, and he is part of the reason I've been so busy. I'm usually at work until 8pm and don't get home until 5-6am anymore because we are always hanging out. Everyone said to enjoy it while I'm young, so that's what I'm doing. :P It's not so bad once you get used to not getting more than 4-5 hours of sleep at night, lol.

Umm... and as for the rabbits, well, I'm in the process of selling out. I've got about half the herd sold already. I'm moving into an apartment in Sept. and decided that I didn't have the time or patience to raise rabbits anymore... plus there is no way I'm going to drive 30 miles to take care of them everyday. The whole point of moving into town is to save money on gas, as right now I'm spending $10-15 a DAY, which is not cool. I'm going to miss them... but I'm ready to move onto other chapters in my life which they can't be included in. Maybe someday in the future I will start raising/showing them again.

So yeah, that's about all that's been going on in my world. I thought I would just drop in, say hi, and see how everyone was doing. :)

Hi Nicole!
So nice to hear from you.
Too bad about your rabbits. You really had some nice ones.
Hopefully you might get back into rabbits again.

Everyones disappearing fromhere

Glad to hear that your life is going well for you, Nichole!

There comes a time when everyone has to get out of rabbits and then regain the hobby later. It's a part of life when grown-up choices have to be made. :) You'll be back, I know many people that have gotton out to start their careers and families and end up getting right back in when their kids hit 4-H age. :D

As far as 'disappearing'... I stop in once a day to see if there's anything going on but don't post too much. I do all the maintenance work on an Ohio show rabbit message board with nearly 800 members so all free time is spent there. :D

The next few weeks are busier then ever when the mind is in 20 places at one time with work, college, 4-H meetings, committee meetings, preparation for fair meetings, the actual preparation for fair and so on and so forth. If any of you are in 4-H, take the time to thank your 4-H advisors for their volunteering as you think your preparation' for fair is difficult. Ohh.. it's much more work as an advisor let me tell ya but it's enjoyable!

So I hope all is well across the board. :)

Amanda

I hope the bunnies are going to great homes! Wish we could have caught up with you this weekend!

GO TONY STEWART GO!!!! :D

Dwarf_Angel04 - July 29, 2007 07:05 PM (GMT)
Tony Stewart owns a speedway track here in the home turf. :) He goes to his track quite often to watch the races. I think the last time he was in the county was the middle of June. Normally they have a 'NASCAR Race' fan night every so often and Tony will race in these little cars along with some other NASCAR drivers. I think Junior was here the last time.

So yeah... a little 'local history'. :)

And Tony won....

YEP! A lot of people dont' like his attitude, but we love him!

slrabbits - August 26, 2007 09:49 PM (GMT)
Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's already been a month since I posted this, lol. Time sure flies. And I'm so glad to hear from everyone! :)

I didn't get to go to the actual race as my dad was only able to end up getting one ticket, but I did go and see the qualifying. It was pretty awesome. But omg, was I ever tired after that day. We walked the entire track. Twice. lol My dad wasn't too happy when Junior wrecked on race day... he wanted him to win for his birthday. And good grief, even Kane wrecked! But hey, Stewart's better than Gordon, right? :P

I'm kind of bummed out right now as my boyfriend has decided to go start working offshore with our friend Kevin and his dad (who has been working on the ship for a awhile now). That means he will be gone for four weeks, back for two, gone for four, ect. Thankfully there are only three months left for this "season" and then he will be home for four months straight. The money is awesome though... but I really don't want him to go. :( Right now I'm trying to work out a living arrangment... I'm supposed to be out of my grandparents place next month sometime and Kevin's dad is trying to find a large house to rent for him, Kevin, Kevin's wife and their two kids, Ryan, and myself. It will be really nice if everything works out and that way I'm not sitting in an apartment alone for a month at a time.

I still have about ten rabbits left... anyone want some? :P

Wow! I didn't realize that it's been over a month already either!

The county fair is now in the history books and was an absolutely fun week and a half! There wasn't much drama which is always rewarding and I wish I could replay that week all over again.

I'm in my 'week' break before more classes start next week and taking every moment as if it's the last.

As for your boyfriend, you'll make it through if it's ment to be. Just take in every moment with him that you can while he's around. :D
