Title: Jackalope

My friend (she's actually a new member, hey Jen!) mentioned these today, I'd heard of them, but never actually read much about it... so I wiki'd them.
Apparently they originated from people seeing rabbits with Shope papillomavirus.
In all my time having rabbits, 15 years on and off now, I've never seen it here, or in a domestic rabbit. Is it common in the US or Canada? I looked at some pictures on this site... http://ww2.lafayette.edu/~hollidac/jacksforreal.html Doesn't look pleasant at all. Just wondered if any of you had come across it?

It looks like the rabbits have some kind of Fungus on their face to cause that.

Theres some crazy mixes of rabbits. Some people tried to tell me that there are such things as Cabbits (catXrabbit) when it was just breed of cat like that.

lol nah I know they're not real things. But I was interested in the virus tbh. Maybe I'll go read up some more on it. It's just no-one's ever mentioned it here and was interested. :)

Never seen or heard about it.

The worst picture I've seen (of wild rabbits) was one infested with wood lice.
