Cinnabun - May 5, 2007 06:57 PM (GMT)
okay.
Cinns Butt is a Clump of Poop!
And y'all know how mean she is. How the heck can I clean it?! no one else will help me. (They hate Cinnamen) So it's just me..
Any Advice?!
I have to clue what else to do!
My mom hates her because how Cinnamen would attack her. and my dad and brother just aren't a fan of any other animal expect for dogs. They wont even touch her! well My brother held her once. But he wont help me.
and then I have to shave her yet.. this is just to much of a work for one person! I figured my mom would help me once I got her. But then she kept on attacking my mom. and now she's scared of her. Ughhhhh!!!!!!! I really hate this..
((Sorry kinda turned into a rant.. haha))
But yeah PLEASE any kind of help.

Are you able to flip her over by yourself?
If so... take a wet paper towel and to soften the feeces. I then take a cat flea comb to pull out the feeces.
As far as clipping her butt... you don't have a SINGLE person to help you? If the answer is no then you may have to take her to a vet or groomers. Using clippers on an animal alone when flipped on their back is WAY too dangerous. Have you tried just taking scissors and snipping her fur around the genital area so that it's just shorter?

I can flip her over for a little bit of time. but then she's fighting to turn back over. But I will try that also thankyou
and Nah I don't have any other persons help with this. I tried the clippers before, But she just wont sit still. (silly rabbit) and I freak out when she does that. Because I'm scared im gonna hurt her.. How much to you think it's gonna cost for that? Include the nail clippings because She wont let me do that either I've tried but she wont have none of it. And I was doign that alone also.

I honestly have no idea how much it would cost as it depends on the economy in your area. Around here it costs $10 to clip nails but no idea on the actual clipping.

alrighty, Thank you for your help though!
I've been trying to find her a new home. Because once I move out I'm not sure that I'll be able to bring her with, or anything. and I can't store her here once I move out. Because I like to keep an eye on her daily. Just to check out the surroundings since I'm surrounded by dogs. and now that the big dogs are gone. I have 2 German shepherds and a Golden who are mean dogs! and they like to jump the fence and get out. so If it's not Chopper trying to go after her. It's those dogs. So I'm freaked about that. PLUS! we have been having Turkey Vultures in the area. so Taya isn't even allowed outside by herself. So I've been trying to find rabbit breeders in Minnesota who raise or have had Long haired breeds. or someone who has had a long haired breed.
But also I'm still debating on it. If I find a home then she can go to it. otherwise if I don't then I'll keep her. I'm in no rush to find her a new home at all. Just if it comes along it comes along. I've had a couple of offers already but they are in the East coast. and I wouldn't feel safe with shipping because I don't know how it works. One was from a Jersey Wooly Breeder in West Virgina!

I'm sorry, I just saw this post. I haven't checked in here in awhile. Have you tried anything yet Cinn? If not, I've found the easiest way to give Ellie a butt bath is to hold her up against my chest and rest her butt on the kitchen sink (if your mom will let you do it there). I use warm water and spray her butt with the hose...LOL. It might help to soften the poop if it's hard. Or at least let you see where her skin is so you can just cut it off with scissors without clipping her skin. I have to warn you though....wet bunny poop smells horrid! My daughter gags the whole time if she helps me.
I know I'm lucky with Ellie and her butt baths, cuz she is unusually calm. I swear she'd let me hose her off for an hour if I wanted to.
Good luck!

Sorry for the lack of replying, a lot going on around here.
So did you figure out a way to get Cin cleaned up?
Cinnabun - May 20, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
my mom and I put vaseline on it. To loosen it up because it's hard as a Rock! With all the dry hot weather we've been having we figured that it dryed it up.
