One thing that's made me angry today about the shootings was that they said "Well if the other people had been armed then he'd have been stopped earlier." Oh so we all go round with pistols in our pockets just in case someone else has one?!! :angry: I'm not saying the UK gun laws are perfect, we have our own share of gun crime, but the laws to own a gun in the US are laughable. One of which being that you can only buy one gun a month... oh well that's okay then, well except that it takes just one bullet and one gun to kill an innocent person.

So lots of people who don't know how to handle a weapon or what to do with it should be let loose to carry around things that can kill people? Who's to say that even if someone had a gun on that campus, that they'd be able to shoot it and score a hit? They might've hit someone else by mistake and caused *another* innocent death. <_<

IMHO only those who are trained and *need* to have a gun should have one. I know they can be obtained illegally, etc... but this kind of thing has to stop. It's far too easy for one slightly off balanced person to get a hold of a gun and turn on people.

I don't expect people to agree with me... just needed to rant about it.
