Title: STINKY BOTTOM!!

Bo B Bunny - December 29, 2006 11:44 PM (GMT)
Ok, I knew we had to clean scent glands now and then to ensure the buildup doesn't cause an infection, but OMG! Bo is so stinky right now!! I cleaned his glands with a qtip and mineral oil even to get the worst and his bottom will make a skunk puke!

What do you do for this? Should I bathe his bottom? leave it alone? wear gas mask? :ph43r:

I never had to deal with this problem.
I'm still not sure where the scent glands are. :dunno:
Forgot to ask the Doctor when I took Pebbles in for a check up.

If you look at Pebbles bottom, and the edge of her little wee-wee area - then on the very edge on either side there will be sort of a flap. It's hard to find, but it's like an opening that runs like a peapod. (Bo's become sort of tubular at the end of it.)

I never had to worry about Bo, until now. He's stinky! he's gonna get a bath if it keeps up!

If you look at Pebbles bottom

Thanks for the picture and info. :)

So far, Pebbles is not too bad....
If it isn't broken... I'm not going to fix it. :P

Mmmm, you smell nice.

I didn't clean Bo's until he had some little hard/waxy things show up there. It almost looked like squished poos caught in the fold. I guess they can get infections if it's left like that...... I think he's lazy about cleaning maybe? or when he was overweight (he probably still is a bit but he can clean).......
