Clover has been (what I think is) coughing. She sounds like a cat trying to choke up a hairball. She's done it off and on for a week but it's gotten worse. I have been giving her pumpkin and she LOVES it, but I don't know what else to do. She doesn't have any drainage or anything like that.
Help! :(
Bo, I don't know anything about rabbits coughing, but I did a google search:
Rabbit CoughingDid you change their litter recently? I remember you posting about Tractor Supply not carrying Woody Pet anymore.
Thanks! Yes, I did change her litter and that's exactly what I think might be doing it. I have Equine Fresh and although it's similar to Woody Pet, It doesn't fluff up when they wet it. It breaks down into tiny particles. I think I'm going on a road trip this morning. I found a place about 1/2 hour away to get Woody Pet!!! :D
That article is EXACTLY like her cough - sounds like a duck.
Pebbles gets into a sneezing mode once in a while. She would sneeze three or four times in a row, and then nothing else happens. The only dust she might be exposed to would be from the hay or the pellets.
I'm hoping that's all it is with Clover. She's such a good girl, I want her to be all healthy and happy :)
Isn't she pretty?
