Title: Wrong Info
Bo B Bunny - September 12, 2006 02:44 PM (GMT)
I've posted a bit about this before, I'm sure, but this really made Lexi and I think about it this week.....
A book Lexi has and popular opinion is that bunnies make no noise except for screaming in pain.........
I'd love to have those who believe this visit us during "lights out" at night.
"clickk, click, click" - Clover
or when Bo is ticked off at me....
"grrrnnnnt" or "fffft" or "snorrrt"
or maybe during massage time with Bo......
"tick, tick, tick"
Yeah, and then those who think that bunnies are just quiet in nature.... They need to come see how toys fling magically out of the cage and across the hardwood at say....... 2 a.m. because Bo has decided he wants someone to play and if he has to wake us up he will.
or when Clover has decided he needs to hop really fast even with his bad leg. That's usually right in the middle of a good television show in the evening..... "Jingle, thump, clickity click (that's him in his litter box back and forth), jangle, thump"
Bo's bell ringing for his treats/food/attention
or Bo's hop up and down fest every morning when he hears my alarm and when he doesn't he thinks he must wake me for my alarm hasn't rung.... "Someone might be late, Mommy!!!" I assume he means with his breakfast. <_<

Don't forget about the thumping in the middle of the night.
Cocoa would do that when we bunnysat her. That what my wife says, I was sound asleep.
Pebbles makes soft squeaking sounds when she runs, and grunts at the dog.
Of course there is the constant ripping of cardboard boxes, and the digging on the plastic cage bottom.

Rex sounds like a pig. Really! He snorts when it's dinner time, grunts while he's eating, and grunts/squeals when I get him mad (i.e. trying to mess with his toes)

 Pretty noisey for a bunch of silent pets!
Bo will only thump now and then. Usually if he hears something that he doesn't like in the night or when he saw a mouse last fall. He only thumps one time tho.
I'm lmao at Rex being such a piggy!

Here is a clip from another forum that someone found.
Every time I play it, Pebbles ears would perk up, and Desmond (our dog) would howl.

Thump thump thump! Bite bite bite! Flick flick flick! When are they ever quiet?! <_<
Pet that bunny is terrifying... that noise sends this panic through me. :( It doesn't look like the rabbit is stressed but only 3 times have I heard rabbits scream. Rosie, from pain, Max, through fear at the vet's, and Minnie, just before she died and I can tell you, it's a sound you NEVER want to hear. :upset:

I've never heard a rabbit scream, I hope I never do...

Yeah, that link isn't working - I guess maybe I should be glad?
I forgot about Flicky Feet...... Fwiiit fwiiit fwiiiit (and I swear they roll their eyes at me when they do it.... :P )
MyBunnyLovesMe - September 13, 2006 11:15 PM (GMT)
why do they do that with their feet anyway lol its cute but the sound can be annoying sometimes :P could never understand why.... trying to get the dirt off their paws before cleaning themselves?
Bo B Bunny - September 13, 2006 11:28 PM (GMT)
Are you talking about how they shake their front paws before cleaning?
Flicky feet is when they are ticked off and hop away - flicking their back feet really hard as if to "wipe us off!"
MyBunnyLovesMe - September 13, 2006 11:39 PM (GMT)
oh yeah, I was thinking of the flicking of the front paws like 5 times before licking them lol but yeah he does the other flicky feet too when I put him back in his cage... it gets shavings all over the place...almost like "fine, you're gonna put me in here...I'm gonna make a mess for you to clean up!" <_<
Bo B Bunny - September 13, 2006 11:46 PM (GMT)
:P I like the flicky before cleaning too! I think it IS to get any loose dirt off!!
Clover does the flicky FOOT cause he can't really do a lot with the one. He manages to flick LOTS of poos and woodypet out of his cage with that foot, tho... <_<
Pet_Bunny - September 14, 2006 12:37 AM (GMT)
They flick their hind legs at you and give you the butt. :P
Then they shake their front paws to get the dirt off and then groom themselves to get your scent off them.
Yet they come back and beg for more treats.
