Well I was outside with the bunnies earlier and was amazed to see a turn in Zoey's behaviour overnight!

I have been unable to touch her since her spay on April 19. She has been a pain to catch. None the less, I bonded her to Mocha and it didn't help any because she didn't need me anymore. I had resigned myself to the fact that she was never going to be a people bunny and I would have to settle for her just being curious and untouchable.

Well today not only did she let me touch her, she forced me to! She would put her nose right to my hand and head bunt me until I scratched her. And most people may not be thrilled about being bit but I am because she bit me for ignoring her! Not only was I able to touch her head, but she let me stroke her all over which was a very rare occurance even before her spay.

Even though Mocha recieved her thanks for me grooming her, I still am happier than can be that she let me touch her. I'm sure some of you think I'm nuts but if you had known Zoey like I do, you would be amazed that she let me pet her.

I'm not sure but I'm almost curious if bringing little Romeo here has made her jealous and that's why she's suddenly changed. I mean, he is the reason Zoey chinned me! Not only that, it seems that the little tiffs he's created in Mocha and Zoey's bond have actually now strengthened their bond because now they are close to inseperable which they were not before.

I can't explain how thrilled and in love with Zoey I am... Yeah I know, I'm nuts -- bunny nuts! But this is huge news for me. It's like many of you getting bunny kisses from a rabbit that's held out on giving them for 5 years.

Look, I even have proof! (Excuse the fact that she has small bald areas around her eyes, Mocha has been over grooming them again.)

I know, I'm odd. People probably are thinking that it's no big deal but it's huge to me and I'm still over joyed. I hope she keeps bonding closer with me. I miss how she used to be as a 'toddler' when she would insist on me petting her and would chase me for ignoring her.

I know how you feel!

Bo went through a stage of not wanting me to cuddle him. He wanted to dig, fluff and play and that's it. He's gotten really snuggly lately and will lay on me for an hour or so. He usually melts into a meatloaf bunny :)

Well PB, we aren't quite at the hugging stage! But I'll give her some papaya from you, LOL. Which reminds me, I need to buy one so I can dry it for them...

And good news still, she let me pet her in the hutch! She only stood for a few pets but she still let me touch her! It's a miracle!

I thought they would be finished with the papaya by now. :)

I was cleaning up after the Rabbit Show, and someone left half a sack of Hay at the mall, so I took it home.
Now Pebbles has all types of hay to feed on. :D

I've tried everything you gave me! They like the parrot treats and Mocha and Zoey will eat the rabbit treats but Spice wont! But the papaya is the biggest hit.

I still have some left because I've cut it into small chunks and I have other stuff (fresh raspberries and carrots, raisins, dried pineapple, apple, and strawberries).

But since the papaya is such a big hit, I'm going to make my own for them. :)

Zoey let me pet her while she was laying down and didn't get up! :D

I'm not getting my hopes up for kisses! I mean only once has Spice ever kissed me and that was early this year when I was upset about something and Mocha's never kissed me.

So really, to be honest, I don't care about kisses althought it would be nice to know you're not the bottom of the totem pole but I guess we all have to face the facts one day -- the bunnies own us they just let us think we own them.
