Title: Summer Work

Grrr.....
I feel like I'm back at school already but I don't start until Aug. 25th. :angry:
How is that? Summer work... I've been very busy in June and most of July, so (partially because of laziness hehe) I didn't start my AP US History work until a few weeks ago. I'm handing it in today to get 5% extra credit.
I wrote a 3 page typed (single spaced not double) essay on George Washington and the Revolution, 10 page story panel thing on the Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan, 6 portfolio pages on the founding of six of the thirteen original colonies, and answers to questions on Barbara Tuchman's March of Folly.....
I'm about to rip my hair out!

I know how you feel though... at the moment we're doing biography and autobiography and it's worse than poetry! :???: I really don't like autobiographies, they just seem to be ways to show off/excuse why self centred 'celebrities' are the way they are... I really am not that interested in reading about who Posh Spice had dinner with, how much she paid for it and which top hairdresser does her hair! :rolleyes:
I wanted to do Nelson Mandella (did a bit on it at school and my family used to live in South Africa) but couldn't find any books on him when I went shopping, so chose a Sting autobiography instead. At least I can give the book to my dad afterwards as he's into Sting and The Police. :) My essay is due next Friday but my tutor is so slow at marking that I'll not know my mark for another 3 weeks or so. <_<

I'm different I guess... I love autobiographies! Well whenever I get a chance to read that is!
Just wait hun.....once you get out of high school you won't have a summer to enjoy. Life begins and it's not put on hold because of beautiful weather. :???:

I'm really liking being out of school forever! i love it! I don't see how i'd want to go back to school after the way they treated me there. i always hated school. LOL

You get homework over summer break?! Never have I heard of that one. :blink:
But just wait, once you are out of school you will miss that work. ;)

LOL I definately do not miss the work! :lol: What I do miss is not paying for bills! :D When I was at school, I had a weekend job so that I had money to go to the pub and stuff... when I got out of school I then had to pay for things myself... the pub was less frequented when that happened! :( But then the wages went up and so did my bar bill! ;) Karaoke night, quiz night, footie night... I was in the pub!
Like you Cinn, I'm so glad I'm out of there... I wish I had the confidence I do now when I was at school. Not just the confidence to stand up to people, but the confidence to believe that I could do things that I always told myself I couldn't.
