Nope, sorry, we're paying for ours! LOL
Maybe through your ISP? I know some of them do free web space... :)

My Isp provides mine as a free service. You might try geocities. I see a lot of people use that. Ive never used it so I dont know the down side....worth a try though.

You can get web space free at all sorts of places, most likely from your ISP as well. And, if you can code or have an html editor, you can do some nice stuff using free space.
You might also do a search for 'free content management system' or 'free cms' - it'll be more a site out of the box - but you can make it look decent, too.
Oh-as for geocities: I used them years ago and it wasn't too bad, but my daughter had some issues wih disappearing images, ect. recently....

You can do web pages without being a domain. So it depends upon what you want.
Try LYCOS and see if that is what you need. Someplace I have a pet page started on that....

Yep, try lycos (used to be something else not sure what) and most servers will have a place you can do that..... Look at your features on whatever company you use for internet access :)

try geocities.com
tripod.com
and freewebs.com for starters
rabbitrae - April 28, 2005 09:56 AM (GMT)
I've tried a geocities page before but it was weird sometimes I could get on and sometimes I couldn't.

I use geocities. Although, I wouldn't recommend it if you don't at least know basic HTML coding. Mines on geocities right now, but I am planning on buying my own domain soon.
bumperbunny - May 1, 2005 05:24 AM (GMT)
yeah the geocites page builder sucks!! i am learning html but will prob go to a tripod site, as i have heard the best things about that.
rabbitrae - May 1, 2005 01:59 PM (GMT)
I love both of them. Which one is easier?
ShazzaBunny - May 1, 2005 03:19 PM (GMT)
bravenet one is all set up, so no htlm knowledge is required.
telewest one is easy once you know how to do it, but i would recomend bravenet one for a beginer as it walks you through the whole process.
rabbitrae - May 1, 2005 11:50 PM (GMT)
thanks I'll give it a try!
bumperbunny - May 9, 2005 06:08 PM (GMT)
i had geocities--but it is SOOOOO annoying and hard to work with, so i swithched to tripod...tripod is AWEEEEESOME!
Delphinum - May 9, 2005 06:55 PM (GMT)
As a user, I find Geocities annoying with that advert thing you have to close everytime you go to a new page, it stops my enjoyment of the website. I don't know what the development side is like though...
Just my tuppence ha'penny! ;)
bumperbunny - May 9, 2005 07:08 PM (GMT)
bravenet sites are annoying because of the ads also. here is my new site, but i am still working on it. free, more space, EASY, and just little ads up at the top, nothing to bother about!
