hey everybody,
ive been on here a few days, but i havent had a chance to come and introduce myself yet.. im bre from north carolina.. i have 2 holland lop bunnies named Peapoo &Petey..they are 8 or 9 months old.. I got Peapoo from a petstore for my birthday last October. 6 months after i got Peapoo, i went to a shelter and got Petey so Peapoo would have a bunny friend. now they get along great and rule the house!

Welcome to our unusually quiet forum. :D It's been very quiet around here with all the spring/summer things starting, end of school, work, etc. I'm hoping things pick up soon again!

One thing tho, they look more like mini-lops to me. I'm not an expert tho, but we have severeal holland breeders here.

well..i originally thought that Petey was maybe a mini lop, but all the other forums im on thought he was a holland..he weighs 4lbs..so does Peapoo..i got her at a petstore..they said she was a holland lop, but you cant always believe them..she doesnt have the round head, but not all of them do..but that would make sense if she was a holland because there's a holland lop breeder close to that petstore..

It's entirely possible they're both Hollands. It's not unusual for breeders to see not so great typed rabbits to pet stores. So the Mini Lop type heads could very well just be bad type and the reason they were in the pet store.

yeah im pretty sure theyre both only pet quality..course that doesnt mean anything to me :lol: ..i got Petey at a shelter, so i dont know where he came from...all i know is that somebody dropped him of at the shelter cage and all and just left.. the shelter workers found him out there all by himself one day :(

Petey has the shorter, rounder head more like a holland..but Peapoo has the longer head..if that makes sense..you can see it in the pictures of Petey..dont have a really good one of Peapoo :(

the pictures make them look bigger than they actually are...theyre about the size of a teacup poodle

the petstore i got my rabbit from told me she was a European Dwarf. and there was a Mini Lop in the cage with her. and she's a Jersey Wooly! :blink: LOL

course she came from Petco where they put all the sick, dying, and over stocked animals in the back to let them die. If you asked they will give you the animals for free.
but yeah. lol

yeah..the woman at the store where we got peapoo said that bunnies didnt climb and that they wouldnt like cages with different levels :blink: ..good thing we knew about rabbits or we might have believed her! :D

I sort of wondered about that (pet quality not show quality)..... like my Bo, he's a bit bigger than lots of mini-rex but not the size of a standard.

They sure are adorable whatever they are! :D Sounds like they are hollands tho.

I love watching hollands hop. it's like a rolling motion LOL!

I hope you get more photos on soon! I love seeing the bunnies and I have to pull teeth sometimes around here to get someone to post..... <_<
