I almost forgot that I hadn't posted this here and it's way too funny to not tell you all about.

A few days ago it was nice outside and there were about 3 Chickadees flying around. I watched out the window as one landed on the cage wire of Spice's hutch and flew off when Spice shifted uneasily (ha ha, Spice is afraid of a Chickadee). Anywyas, I went outside to pet Spice for a few minutes before school. I crouched down and probably sat there for over 10 minutes only slowly moving my fingers in circles behind Spice's ears.

Well apparently one of the Chickadee's thought I was an inatimate object and flew right past me into Spice's open hutch. It startled me so I moved and Spice FREAKED out. He just panicked and came running to me as if to say "mommy, save me!". :lol: Well the bird was also freaking out and frantically trying to find another way out and all it was doing was making Spice worse. So I scooped him up and ran to the other side of the yard so the bird could get out.

It didn't take long adn the bird was gone but it took me probably 15 minutes to calm Spice down and a full day before he would stop hiding if he heard a whistle. :lol:

I haven't seen any Chickadees since. :lol:

Yeah poor Spice.. those big, bad Chickadee's almost got him! :lol: I'm so mean to him. First it was the frog that scared the daylights out of him and now a Chickadee.

Those little ones are the nasty birdies.... ya know like dogs.... :unsure:

Oh poor Spice! But it is really funny! :lol: Horses are scared of weird things too! Shamus thinks the clippers are going to eat him! :rolleyes:

OMG! Dakota is not a spooky type horse but for awhile there he would freak out over anything that "could" be a snake.

We had "snake proofing" lessons quite a bit.

Then, one day when I was walking him and he's usually very laid back - a car came really close and didn't slow down (doing about 45 mph) - stupid teenager - and I had a DAKOTA BALLOON! All for hooves were in the air and I was holding his lead. :lol:

They are just too weird! :lol:

Last summer they were doing some work on our trails and there was some pretty heavy machinery out there. Shamus walked through all the machines, loud noises, etc and than spooked at a rock! Walked right up to it, snorted and then spooked. :blink: :wacko: He drives me nuts sometimes!

hehehe,i can just picture that scenario with spice and the bird,and i wonder who was more scared of who hehehe.
