Title: Line Breeding
Description: Anyone Else Doing it?

Does anyone else here Line Breed? I'm asking because I planned on breeding Whinny back to Jacob when she's old enough but after looking at her and Jacob...I really think George would compliment her more. George is her uncle though. So I guess what I'm asking is..when line breeding...is it ok to breed back to the uncle instead of the sire?

I bred a doe back to her uncle before with good results.

Definitely, that sounds like the best choice in this situation as well...even if Whinny is as typey as Jake, if they still have the same minor faults, it's probably not a good idea because that'll just intensify them...I'd definitely go with George.

Oh good! I'm pretty sure breeding her back to George would be better. Jacob and Whinny (type-wise) are identical. George is A LOT more compact. I'm hoping that by breeding her back to him the babies will keep Whinny's good traits and hopefully get George's too.

It's good to know someone else has done it with good results.
