Title: Darla had kits!
Kismet - February 3, 2006 02:26 AM (GMT)
I can't even explain how much this means to me right now, to hold a LIVE baby kit in my hands again. I was just about ready to give up, because no one wants to take me to shows anymore/wont let me drive myself, so I figured whats the point. Finally seeing some live kits really helped...felt like I was getting nowhere for a while.
Anyway, she had 5...unfortunately 4 of them are peanuts. :( I've only had one "peanut" in the past and I think it was actually a fader. It makes me so sad to know that there is nothing I can do for them...they are so sweet and the broken is really talkative. :( Fortunately the one normal kit looks well fed and is very healthy and fat.
Pics soon!

Oh how awful that you got that many peanuts :( Just love them as much as possible in the next couple of days. Tell them we love them and kiss each one for me!
Kiss the healthy baby too and I can't wait for photos!

Will do! I am so trying to not get attached to the little broken peanut, he is sooo cute and he talks to me. :boohoo: He squeaked when I gave him a kissy earlier.

oH! Thats so sad! I've never actually seen a peanut but IDK what I would do if I ever had one! Well...maybe by some fate of chance it might live? I'm hoping so! Oh and congrats on the babies! I'm still sitting here waiting and I can't figure out how all of ya'll are so patient! I still have 2 weeks left!!!

The double dwarf gene (peanuts) is always fatal, unfortunately. :( When raising dwarf breeds for awhile you get used to them. I expect at least one in each litter. It's just part of raising a breed that carries the dwarfing gene.
