Title: Cheyenne's nesting!
Lanna - January 21, 2006 08:18 PM (GMT)
Well, we have more little Jacob's soon. Cheyenne is due the 24th but I dont know if she'll hold off that long. She's HUGE too. I...ummm....left her in with Jacob overnight...and she's going to have a large litter.
This is my last breeding until late spring...unless I decide to breed Olivia.
Keep your fingers crossed...this is Cheyenne's first litter.
Kismet - January 21, 2006 08:31 PM (GMT)
whooo! I hope she has some nice healthy babies for you :)
More little Jacobs...hmmm...think you have enough to share now? HEHE
Lanna - January 21, 2006 10:50 PM (GMT)
Thanks Lauren!
I plan on sharing. :D If things work out Nichole will get Jake later this year. I'm hoping to go to HLRSC nationals and I'll drop him off to her there. (If she still wants him.)
MyBabyBunnies - January 21, 2006 10:54 PM (GMT)
:thud: You're giving her Jake?! I want Whinny! :P
I'll keep my fingers crossed for lots of adorable babies! Get your camera ready for taking a ton of pictures. :P

Well, It's more like letting her use his services for as long as she needs him. :innocent:
I'll be sure to take pics. Hope I get my cream baby this time.
MyBabyBunnies - January 21, 2006 11:06 PM (GMT)
Well then I want you to lend me Whinny for as long as her services are needed here! ;)
Lanna - January 21, 2006 11:08 PM (GMT)
Cause you wont give her back! <_<
:P
Bo B Bunny - January 21, 2006 11:41 PM (GMT)

I'm sure afraid she's going to. She's not due until the 24th but she's so big I wonder if she'll make it that long. You can tell she's miserable. :( Poor girl. I'd be willing to bet she has at least 5.
rabbitrae - January 21, 2006 11:50 PM (GMT)
Yippee! More little Jakes! Hehe I'll gladly borrow Jake! Where is the HLRSC going to be this year?

LOL....Nichole has first dibs on Jake.
It's going to be in Georgia I believe.
MyBabyBunnies - January 22, 2006 12:30 AM (GMT)
How about I borrow Jacob and we can have Jacob and Zoey babies. :innocent:
slrabbits - January 22, 2006 12:43 AM (GMT)
LMAO.. yes I have dibs on Jake, and believe me I will fight all of y'all for him if I have to. :P

Thanks Nichole. She's being tempermental today...Major cage aggression. I'll be glad when she has the kits and goes back to her loveable self.

Oh no! I couldn't possibly do that! Zoey's way too much of a one person rabbit. So I guess that means you have to send Jacob north!
Lanna - January 22, 2006 02:29 AM (GMT)
Humph!!! You dont really think I'm that gullible do you? Cause I know for sure you wouldnt give him back. <_<
MyBabyBunnies - January 22, 2006 02:30 AM (GMT)
And I sure as heck wouldn't get Zoey back. She's a huge love bug when she gets used to you.
Lanna - January 22, 2006 02:31 AM (GMT)
MyBabyBunnies - January 22, 2006 02:34 AM (GMT)
I say again, why would you ever want to keep such an ugly and horrible example of a Holland Lop as Zoey? You'd definitely want me to take her back! :innocent:
Lanna - January 23, 2006 03:01 PM (GMT)
I doubt that MBB...uhhh...I mean ....Sure I'd give her back. :innocent:
I'm getting impatient with this litter. And Chey's getting HATEFUL! She has a nestbox and I've been giving her fresh hay a couple times a day. Well, last night before bed...I went out to take the soiled hay out and give her some fresh hay. This little heifer bit me. :bite:
:raar:
She didnt just bite and let go either...She held on and was making all kinds of grunting noises. I tried to pull my hand out of the cage but when I lifted my hand she raised with it. Mental picture...hand in the air with a rabbit hanging from it.
I sure hope she has the babies soon!
MyBabyBunnies - January 23, 2006 03:33 PM (GMT)
 I can't help but laugh! It's about time you got a rabbit that isn't perfectly sweet!
And you can't have Zoey! She's my baby and only my baby. So back off! :rifle:
Lanna - January 23, 2006 05:27 PM (GMT)
LOL....she's definitely not sweet right now! <_< I wont be sticking my hand back in the cage unprotected until she has those babies though.
Bo B Bunny - January 23, 2006 05:46 PM (GMT)
Does get kind of grouchy huh?
I can just see you with a rabbit hanging off your hand! OMG! I know it's not funny but - it is LOL!
MyBabyBunnies - January 23, 2006 06:18 PM (GMT)
I think you should send her north because there's no way you want a mean rabbit! :innocent:
Lanna - January 23, 2006 06:26 PM (GMT)
Bo...some worse than others!! :bite:  Dont feel bad for laughing...I did too. It was funny cause hubby was standing there...playing with the babies(Squishy's)...and when she latched on all he could do was stand there with his mouth open. I thought it was very funny. He didnt. He started calling her Jaws.
MBB...No you cant have Cheyenne. Sheesh!! She's only moody when she's bred. She's a sweet girl otherwise. :P
*Grabs Zoey and runs while MBB is thinking of a response!*
MyBabyBunnies - January 23, 2006 06:27 PM (GMT)
 Hands off my Zoey! She's already grump, you don't want to see her when she's pregnant!

 She might finish what Chey started!
MyBabyBunnies - January 23, 2006 06:34 PM (GMT)
Lanna might be missing a few fingers. So if I can't have her, can I have Whinny? :innocent:

No. :P
*sigh*
I guess she's going to make me wait a while longer. I thought she was going to have them soon cause she's laying around...if you knew Chey you would know this was odd...and panting. But she's stubbornly holding out. I bet Ive been to that barn 100 times today.
I know I'll go back out a few more times before I go to bed but I doubt she has them tonight. I still say there's at least 5 in there.
Bo B Bunny - January 24, 2006 12:04 PM (GMT)
When did you say her actual due date is?
Lanna - January 24, 2006 01:20 PM (GMT)
:bag:
It was today...I was just impatient. I "thought" cause she was HUGE that she might go a day or two early. After all Petunia's problems kindling I was really worried about Cheyenne...both are smaller does...just over 3 lbs.
BUT..........
We have live healthy wrigglies this morning!!
The only color I'm sure of is an opal...the rest we'll have to wait and see. One *might* be a cream. :D
She was bred to Jacob so I'm thinking a few of those lighter ones may be fawn and of course I believe there's a tort or two in there. Surprisingly...she didnt have any chestnut. :dunno:
:spice: :spice: :spice: :spice: :spice:
Kismet - January 24, 2006 01:42 PM (GMT)
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
MyBabyBunnies - January 24, 2006 03:40 PM (GMT)
:spice: YAY! You didn't say how many their are!
Can I have on of these? :innocent:
Lanna - January 24, 2006 04:00 PM (GMT)
 If you're willing to pay the shipping fees you can have one of these....AFTER I decide who stays. :P
I cant believe I left out how many she had. I was WAY wrong. She had 8. No peanuts! Now I'll have to watch closely to make sure none of the smaller ones is getting left out at feeding time.
jojo - January 24, 2006 04:08 PM (GMT)
:thud: eight and no peanuts. WOW!! congrats
Lanna - January 24, 2006 04:12 PM (GMT)
Thanks Jodi. I know it's a miracle she didnt have any peanuts. Well not really but the odds are that she'd have at least one. I guess I got a break this time since Stormy had a litter of 7 and 5 were peanuts. I'm not complaining!!
MyBabyBunnies - January 24, 2006 04:14 PM (GMT)
They're so cute! I want them all, oh yea, and Whinny and MooMoo. :P ;)
What a huge litter! Zoey came from a litter of 7 and her mom was under 3 lbs! Congrats on the healthy babies and keep us posted with lots and lots of pictures. :D
jojo - January 24, 2006 04:21 PM (GMT)
they are so cute. :spice: any blue torte does in this litter for me :innocent: :D
Lanna - January 24, 2006 04:31 PM (GMT)
MBB...I know persistence usually pays off...but youre not getting Whinny or MooMoo! :P
Jodi, I'm not sure yet. A few look like torts but theyre all so light it's hard to tell. She did have an opal that I'm sure of...so there's the possibility of more dilutes in there. I cant remember what sex you wanted though.
