I was doing some work in the barn today...cleaning and putting everything back after the storm...and it hit me...I have four litters due soon. LOL I'm pretty excited about them. Two of the breedings are to George...who up until now I couldnt get bred. <_< He's so small he lacks stamina. The other two breedines are, of course, to Jacob.

Here's what I have bred.

From these litters I expect chestnut, fawn, orange, opal, cream, black, black tort, blue tort, and blue.

I'm not positive that Stormy is bred but the others are a definite. :dance:

Thanks guys. I gave them all a nestbox today and Zoey and Petunia were busy little mommas. LOL It's so cute to watch them gather all the hay and stuff their mouths with it. Rayne and Stormy didnt do anything but this is their first litter so I dont expect anything from them until the last minute. I'm not sure Stormy's bred...she has the tightest ABs Ive ever felt on a doe. <_< :lol:

Nichole...I'm sorry youre still not having any luck. I would give some tips but I know youve tried them all. Rayne didnt want to breed for me the first day I tried with her. I tried her that morning and she was having NONE of it. LOL I tried again that afternoon and still nothing. The next morning when she wouldnt lift..I left her in Jacob's cage and put Jacob in hers. By that afternoon she was willing. LOL

Yay! Baby bunnies are just too cute. That means we'll be getting pictures in a few weeks, right? :innocent:

I might have to switch some bucks and does before I go to school tomorrow, and try when I get home. I have all of my does in one of my 8-holes, and I stuck a couple of bucks in there next to them the other day. Didn't work, LOL. If worst comes to worst I guess I can drag them all to the show with me. I really wanted my proven does bred though, since I plan on breeding Amaya and Sunset next week.. it's their first time and I want there to already be babies before they have theirs, just in case.

I hope that works. Maybe theyll be more receptive tomorrow evening.


I bred Zoey because Rayne and Stormy are first time moms. Petunia hasnt raised a litter...she lost her last litter. :( I hope she does better this time. I'm betting on haveing at least two good moms in the bunch that I can foster to if need be.

Of course...I'm not sure Stormy took...so it mayonly be three litters.

Petunia is cracking me up though...LOL...she has an obscene amount of hay in her nest box. LOL

:spice: I got Shimmer bred to Cash today! The other girls were having none of it though, LOL. I have given up on Tequila.. I think the people who took Torque want to take her as a pet anyway. The other girls I am going to wait until I get my Black Otter this weekend and see who he pairs up with well.

Zoey had 4 live babies. All fat little healthy looking things. At first glance it looks like two chestnuts possible opal and two broken unknown color. :dance:

Well, Stormy definitely missed...no surprise there. I rebered her yesterday...hopefully she'll take this time.

Rayne still hasnt done anything. The babies are still wiggling around in there so theyre ok. I guess she's taking her time since this is her first litter.

Petunia missed. I'll rebreed her later.

Rayne had her babies. One is definitely a broken black with very little coloring. She cant be a charlie...She's out of a solid and broken. One is definitely chestnut or opal...can tell. One may be broken tort...and the last one is unidentifiable at this point. No peanuts...no stillborns.

Well, The four litters I was expecting today havent happened yet.

Lola and Petunia are definitely bred. Ive been back and forth out there all day today watching the babies wiggle.

Stormy feels bred but I dont see any movement. Maybe I'm feeling a kidney when I palpate? :unsure:

Abby didnt take but I rebred her today to Tazz.

I also bred Squishy to Tazz on 10/21 and I palpated today...she definitely took.

Darla is due on the 15th...she feels pregnant, I just hope she keeps them with all the stress she's been through lately.

Petunia lost her litter again. She had another stuck kit but it wasnt as bad this time so I'm giving her one more chance.

Poor Petunia :( What is with her and stuck babies? Is she just a small girl?

I know. :( She's not really smal...3.5lbs which is about right for Hollands. I also bred her to George...my smallest buck so I think it's more genetic than size. As far as I know her mom never had problems kindling. I'm going to give her one more shot at being a Mom...if she has problems this time I'm going to use her only for show. I rebred her today to George. I want to stay with a small buck and he only weighs 2.14 lbs.
