Hi guys. i told another bunnylover i would post this on this site. maybe someone here can help these buns. I live in NY which makes it immpossible for me to help them but maybe someone on here knows someone who can help. I was told today that they have been moved to another location so they have a few more days before they are put down. apparently they are perfectly normal healthy buns and they have just been in the shelter too long and are "taking up space" :mad:
If anyone can help that would be great.

There are 4 beautiful rabbits at LA West Valley Shelter that will be
put down tomorrow morning if we cannot find someone to take them out.
Our foster homes are full and we cannot take anymore. These are four
beautiful rabbits 1 is a black/white dutch and 2 are lops. you can see

#A730531, A732565, A732563, A724669. This is an extreme emergency.
They are wonderful beautiful rabbits. If anyone can take these
rabbits, even as a temporary foster please contact the shelter and put
your name on them. The Euth list has them listed for tomorrow morning.

:angry: Firstly, these kind of people make me angry... they're a 'rescue' but put animals down! Grrrr!!
I wish there was something I could do as we've space in rescue, but we're just too far away.
Now 'rescue people' usually know other rescues who take overspill... Are there no more rescues in the area who could take them? :???:

I dont know. I dont know all the details. i know that another place has them right now and is holding them for a few more days. thats all she told me. This kinda thing makes me SO angry!!
especially when im on the other side of the friggin country and cant do anything to help.... :mad: :mad: :mad:

Maybe we could all go to the shelter site and beg them not to euthanize them? Maybe with the promise that we'll use all our connections here to try and find them homes?

Having looked at their site, the animals they're putting down have only been there for a month! :angry: We have a buck who's been in our rescue for 4 YEARS!
Yes, please email them and tell them that we will do all we can to home these bunnies if they are not euthanised.

UG!! unfortunaly im at work and cant get to the site till later.... I didnt even see the pick of them and id take them in if it ment saving their little lives....AGG!!!

He's aggressive so he's unhomable... poor boy, he's an Ermin (sp?) Rex and he's lovely!
There are some on that site that've been there over a year... why are they killing the ones that have only been there a month?! The dutch is lovely too! :(

EDIT: Sorry was looking at the wrong one, they've all been there since June or later this year... this is really sad, I feel like crying for those poor little rabbits.

Not to dash everyone's hopes but I saw the same thing yesterday only it had a date, and the date was July 14. Which would make this morning "tommorow morning". :boohoo:

aww i'd foster them.. but dont have the money to pay for shipping and more cages

Shipping is usually 200+ including health certificates, carriers, etc. Rabbit railroad might be better? Kinda hard to get that situated in an urgent situation though...

I've been in West LA for the past week, just arrived back in Vancouver early Thursday AM, and just saw this post. Making my timing even more awful, the airline I flew on would have allowed bunnies in the cockpit. :(

I was told another shelter took them but i dont know which one :(

Sigh I'm too far away my shelter does that too it makes me soo made this was this beautiful siamese cat and it was sooo scared nobody adopted it and I think they put her down :( I can understand puting them down if there is something wrong like mean or very sick. I wish I could help
