Title: Amiga UK Scene groups

DaZZaBoY - March 6, 2007 11:20 PM (GMT)
I'm building up my collection of prods from uk scene groups and thought I'd compile a list of uk based groups or euro groups with a larger uk based sections.

Off the top of my head, here's what I've got so far:
(will update list as other groups are mentioned)

QUOTE

Anarchy
Anathema
Area51

Dimension X
Doom UK

Eltech

Grasshopper Developments

Lemon
LSD

Maniacs

Neo
Nerve Axis
NFA
Nuance

Phuture 3o3
Pussy UK

Tesko

Voodoo Design

Feel free to shout up any I've missed.

Didnt Narcosis do Deadlock before Anathema too? (my memory is finally fading)

darkus - March 8, 2007 12:52 PM (GMT)
Maniacs is another old Uk group

darkus - March 8, 2007 12:56 PM (GMT)
DCS UK ?

Dreamfish, Red Devil, Hybrid and crew.. not sure what they produced though? but they did have a healthy UK division.

Don't put NFA in there - someone'll throw a hissy fit about them not being a 'proper' group. :)

DaZZaBoY - March 8, 2007 05:53 PM (GMT)
@Freak: I'm in charge here and it stays! I liked NFA ;)

Yeah sure it was Narcosis (*goes to check diskmag section of winuae stuff).

Just a few things :)

Sonic Attack

This took me about a year to code!

I used to swap gfx with Red Devil when I was in Wizzcat and I remember him showing me a quite unfinished preview of the sonic splash screen from that lovely music disk.

Was that disk going to originally be a Wizzcat release?

nzo - April 24, 2008 10:06 PM (GMT)
No, that was always a DCS release.. although it took forever!
Rob was a very good artist, but wasn't particularly quick in coming up with the stuff.. plus he seemed to end up with all the organising etc.

:)

Perhaps I can ask you one small favour, dunno if you can help, but I did a picture for the splash screen of one of the issues of Wizzcat messagebox, it was an interlaced ehb picture of a gladiator, I don't have that pic any more and even though the coder butchered my picture by not displaying it in ehb mode I'd still love it if I could track down that issue of Messagebox.. I can't find it anywhere.

I could only google for it as you could, or check various archives like Majic Mushrooms or pouet etc. Unfortunately, I never saw an issue of messagebox ever.

Someone who might be able to help you is PG. He is our resident Demo Scene staff expert on classicamiga and is the main person responsible for our demo section's directory. He used to be a mail trader and has a large collection of rare stuff.

DaZZaBoY - April 26, 2008 10:17 AM (GMT)
And a bloody nice bloke to boot. :)

shockwave - April 26, 2008 11:44 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the help guys. I'll definately register at classic amiga and see if it can be located there :)

Harrison - April 29, 2008 01:03 AM (GMT)
Hope you manage to find it. Either post asking in the demo scene section of the classicamiga forums or just PM PG. I'm sure he will help in any way he can.
