Heys Guys (and Gals)

Got a mention from Dazzy to check this place out... and would you know it i found a nice little place in the corner for me..

so a little about me.

Some might know me from EAB forums, but i do infact get around a bit ( go google zetr0 :D)

I love Retro gamming, all things amiga, LAN gamming (i run a local lan club with some friends down these parts).

I belong to a guild on the classic game GuildWars and heres my formum server for it..

http://www.guildserver.co.uk/forums/bos/

the guildserver also hosts other projects such as the up-and comming Amiga WHDLoad game packs for the amiga.

so a little history....

I have been in the computer industry since 1994 as an analyst / programmer / tester and after an accident at work a few years back i decided to go back to University and i am now undertaking my masters/phd in computing science wich is cool and the maths.... well its like trying to fit a square shape in a smaller round hole with an oversized hammer whilst dealing with the hangover from hell.. but its all good :)

I absolutely LOVE modding things and seeing modding pictures, my passion started way back in .92/93 when i decided to Towerise my A1200 (this is before the trend and obviously preformed cases) i decided on a desktop conversion in the end... wish i had the pics of that.... i used a bomb/rpg-proof 386 chasis... an absolute monster it was....

I got into the Internet before most really in 93, in truth it was mainly BBS's and the such like... there wasn't any ISP's until about 1994/5.... ahhh rip-you off compu-serve promptly followed by AO-Hell..... sheesh there some memories there.... Logging into a (size of the sofa) As400 mainframe via a top spec 386 Laptop running win3.1.... damn... that was a geeky moment....

Any way a couple of years later and I got into networking in a some what bigger than big way (since in them days you had the lovely 2inch lump of lead covering a core of iron (ahh thick ethernet at a blistering 2Mbit)....

Fast forward abit to getting Inet at home... (remeber those dial-up sounds... i sware i could emulate them LOL... kinda miss them in a way with all this dsl LOL)
got the nick Majix in them days, donno how... started with the nick warlock but it soon changed... (still trying to remeber how Zetr0 came about)...

Arround 99/2000 I had (by this time about 3Pc's and 2Amigas) and a sturdy 24/7 penny a minute i-net connection LOL... (thank good they got pre-paid in the end!!!) I use hang out in IRC on Dalnet / Ethernet and even the noobie chatnet and it was on IRC that i met my now wife ( i gots me one of them american imports ) and we have been married now for nearly 5 years!!!

so there we are there

a big hey to the Old Skool :)

All these are good questions.

At the moment i reside in country (Norfolk) in a some what very .... welll lets say norfolk town called Kings Lynn, its not a bad place... its not a great place either, but there are plenty worse places (not naming thetford)...

Originally I am from south east london (i was born in lambeth of all places *no jokes please it was a northern londer whom sang that song the p*ick!)

anyways moved away from lahndon waybefore it could effect ones outlook on life and bounced arround a bit till i got here in norfolk.

We usually Have LAN parties evey 10 - 12 weeks and on average have between 18-24+ players

Currently soritng out http://www.the-lan.co.uk/ for the club so when i get time it will all be good :)

sooo lets seee computer languages....

okay... (from the top that i remeber and dabble in time to time)

COBOL
PASCAL
68k ASM
8703 ASM
C/C++
Java

JSP
JScript
ASP
CGI
PHP
COBRA
HTML
DHTML

and lets not forget the best language "BrainFuck <<-<<+++<<>" google it :)

I can code in prety much everything really. not into propriatory code languages that is just silly and is the M$ way wich can seriously f*ck off!!

anyways thats a little more info :)
