Just wanted to say Hi to all you fellas & tell you all a bit about myself. I got yappin' to DazzaBoy via AmiBench & he sent me the OSUK link. My Puter Roots started in 86 & were Amigas in the guises of A500, A2000, A1500, A3000, A4000 & A4000T. I was into the Demo Scene as a User & Abuser till about 92. My slot was Ray Tracing & Demos for Night clubs/events & then after a bitch of a Divorce, was forced to sell up in 94 due to a change of UK County & no where to put anything! I Picked up PC's about 9 years ago all because of Half-Life/Counter Strike & ended up getting pissed off at VALVe after they fucked the Netcode. Thwarted by STEAM-ing-pile of shite, I lashed up an A4KT with PPC 604 & copius GB's of Fast SCSI III. I also built an A4KD with video Toaster/Flyer. Some geezer saw my Amigas & made me an offer I couldnt refuse, so I flogged the lot & ended up parking a VR6 on the drive for 'em. I've regretted it snce (not the VR6) so I now sit here waiting for an A4KD in bits to arrive from Oz in the next couple of weeks.

Special Thanks to Daz: I havn't laughed so much in ages since reading the Grin Reaper Gags. I bombed him with a few Bad Taste scripts via uplink. I spent hours crying afterwards....my dear lady was killing herself at me dying of laughter.

If anyone needs ANY help with Amiga or PC Hardware, please ask. My current rig is a *cough* AMD Opteron 175 on a DFI LP SLI DR Expert board with Nvidia GX2 Graphics. I had her on a 330 FSB under a VapoChill XE II & recently changed to a Water cooled solution. (Anyone wanna buy a VapoChill XE II - Shes Mint & fro eBay) I'm fairly conversant with getting the BEST from most hardware & have several years experience in the trade.

I can't believe I'm sat here writing this, cos according to the Death Clock, I died on Saturday, July 30, 2005. I better hurry the fuck up & get this Lian Li PC75 case modded & ready for the A4KD. ;)

So you did some raytracing eh? i dabbled with Lightwave on Amiga but wasn't really any good with it didn't really have the rig to do it right at the time, still not any good at it now but i still do graphics with my fave Xara Xtreme! (i prefer it to photoshop anyday of the week but it's just personal preference.

Anyway nice to have someone round here who posts straight away we get so many lurkers it's a pleasant change over Zero posters!

I submitted one Pic I ray Traced in Imagine 3 to Amiga Format back in July '93 or '94.
It was the only one I ever submitted.
I cant remember just which year, but the Mag had a Pic of a football player in a blue shirt on the front. I came second in the Gallery they ran back then. Was a pity, cos the guy that won that month ray Traced a Wire-framed Butterfly on some flower or other...it was beautiful - the git! <_<
If mine had gone in the month before, I would defo have got first place.....Cest la vie as they say.
