I'm adding an FAQ file to the next release so I'm also chucking it in here for those who are struggling with the direction of this prod.
FAQ's
Q. I don't understand where you're newsletter is coming from.
What's it all about?
A. The main idea behind our production was to basically create
a low maintainence co-prod to advertise certain aspects of
our oldskool based forum and other info we feel is worth a
mention. We love nostalgia and we love being productive
and keeping the creative vibe going - so we've put these
all together and come up with this!
This newsletter is open to all who want to get involved and
we hope to offer a few pangs of retro vibe in the process. =)
Q. Are you a demoscene production?
A. Definately NOT! We follow certain aspects of the demoscene
and support the work of certain sceners and this prod may
contain demoscene references, but on the whole, the
attitude of the PC demoscene really does suck!
Q. I like you're production and want to get involved.
A. Either join our forum at www.oldskooluk.org or email any
submissions for our next newsletter to:
dazzaboy[at]oldskooluk[dot]org
Q. What can I contribute?
A. You can help by contributing the following..
- News snippets (advertise your site or prods)
- Ascii art and banners
- Msgs and greets
- Intro/cracktro/demo reviews (info on new releases)
- Ideas? (send us any new ideas for content.)
Q. Why two versions of the same prod?
A. Well, the PC txt reader version views the newsletter in it's
basic black on white style in our simple but groovy dedicated
viewer and the HTML version is an ANSI style BBS look running
on a classic black background for users who prefer that style.
Both versions will possibly be merged at a later date?
Q. I can't use your txt reader and your HTML version screws up
in my browser?
A. No problem. Simply leech the PC txt reader version and unpack
the archive, you can then view the 'doc.txt' file in any
text proggy of your choosing.
Q. You're prod is LAME.
A. Anyone who uses the word LAME in 2006 needs a severe
kicking. Either you like a production or you don't, if
you don't like it then suggest ways of improving it by
using constructive criticism. Don't just dismiss
something as being crap or lame - this makes you sound
like the idiot you are.
Q. I love B.E.E.R and getting smashed!
A. You need to sign up to our forum NOW!!!!!!!!
