Just a quick hi to everyone.
Just discovered this board and nice to see a few people still into this stuff!

Hi and welcome.

Did you used to be active in the scene? Member of any groups? Or just a fan?

nzo - April 23, 2008 12:25 AM (GMT)
I was active in the scene from 1989 thru 1993 - powerlords uk, equinox, dual crew, DCS, guest coding for a number of groups like LSD, Dytec, Retro UK and others
I also did some commercial stuff (music and code) around this time

Harrison - April 23, 2008 01:53 PM (GMT)
Nice. Any productions you worked on that you are especially proud of?

nzo - April 23, 2008 07:09 PM (GMT)
Proably Sonic Attack for DCS, which took a really long time to get finished.

Hey Nzo - welcome to da house of oLdSKoOL. :) I take it you were operating under the nick 'nzo' during your active scene days? Seems very familiar.

nzo - April 23, 2008 10:12 PM (GMT)
Yes, same name. I was also active on the bbs scene towards the end

Ah, you probably knew some of my friends too ?

Mr.T was a member of the powerlords uk for a while, he left and was in other groups like nemesis, skid row and razor 1911? He lived not far from me and I used to travel to Newport to see him sometimes, any clues where he ended up?

Also you probably knew tripwire/equinox?

I've now added that musicdisk to the classicamiga demoscene database. You can take a gander at it here.

@shockwave: I remember Mr T, but only in some hazy fashion - I do remember mail swapping stuff with him.
I left when most of the capable members went to work for Argonaut :)
Tripwire sounds familiar, although I was really only in contact with Opus.
Funny, I just had to lookup Alistairs handle on Equinoxes site and noticed that at least I`m credited with being a member :)

@harrison: That site looks pretty good.. going to have a good look around there.

Thanks nzo. Maybe I'll catch up with him one day.. Who knows. :)

Harrison - April 25, 2008 04:30 PM (GMT)
@nzo

Am I right in thinking you were also involved in the music for many commercial games?

Blood Money?

nzo - April 26, 2008 12:18 AM (GMT)
Yea, I did a few

sarek2k - April 26, 2008 02:21 AM (GMT)

Take a look on AMP. There is an interview with NZO on there that talks about his commercial game music involvement. I just tried to access it again (found the interview last night) but the site seems to currently be down.
