Title: Old mailtrader here!

P G - December 12, 2007 08:59 PM (GMT)
Hi everyone,

I'm not good at writing introductions, so I'll try to keep it short. ;)

Like Harrison, I'm part of the Classicamiga.com staff. My main task is building and maintaining the site's demo section. Have been an active member of the Classicamiga.com forums since 2003.

On the Demoscene, I went by the handle Punisher, but nowadays I mostly use Puni or PG (this is my nick at Classicamiga.com). I'm not really an active Scener, but I watch new prods and sometimes I get an inspiration to spend some time with AMOS.

I'm currently a member of Gods, but we haven't done anything productive for years. In the past I've been in Apathy, Darkage, MAWI, Nah-Kolor, Instinct, Absurd and other groups. My function was swapping, or mailtrading if you like. Stopped doing this around year 2000, due to most contacts leaving the Scene. I've also done some coding and packing (Dreams by Apathy).

Used to swap with a few people in the UK. Carp, Nemesis, DT214, Bucko, and some others. Any of you here? B) Think I've seen Darkus (Nemesis) lurking around.. ;)

Turns out this got a bit longer than planned. :)

Hey PG,

Welcome aboard the big oSuK bus. :)

Cheers for the intro and I'm sure Darkus will pop in here and say hellooo on his next visit. Bucko is no longer a member here but I know he's a member of the Area 51 mailing list, so you can contact him, zYX & co there.

Thanks once again for the sweet prods you've submitted to the file archive (the rest will be online shortly) and I look forward to much more collaboration with you, compiling files and expanding both our respective databases.

Feel free to shop around in here. B)

Heya PG,

I don't think I was ever in contact with you myself but I'm sure I saw some of your mail trades indirectly as I used to swap with both DT214 and Bucko. Remember the name Punisher being splattered across some floppies.etc.

Nice to meet you!

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome guys. :)

Thanks for the welcome, zYX!, and nice to meet you too! Cool that you've seen my handle tagged on floppies by the way. :) Swappers used to do a lot of disk tagging back in the days. I still have many of those disks around, and some of them are completely covered with different handles. Also, some traders was a bit more advanced and used fancy stickers. I always wanted to create my own, but I never got to it.

No problem, I'm glad to be of help. Will see if I can manage to dig up some more of those oldies for you. :)
