Hi Voxel

Thanks for checking the archive out and glad you like what is there so far.

The dead Anathema link has now been repaired - cheers for the heads up. :)

@Dazza

Thats looking like a great compendium of scene my friend...

I look forward to you bringing back the interviews.

DaZZaBoY - December 10, 2007 12:46 PM (GMT)
@Zet: Cheers. Still waiting on the gfx backup from Pentagram before I can crack on with the interviews?

*update: managed to completely lock myself out of pt.1 of the archive. DoH! Completely blasted the 60000 character limit which in turn screwed the edit functions and no admin access either, bummer. :(

No biggy really, I still could C&P the actual code and create a new post but it just winds the hit count back to zero.. a small price to pay.

The more the file list grows, I'll just have stretch over numerous posts instead. I won't be making the same mistake twice. lol

Why are you putting the file archive in the forum out of interest? Couldn't you just make a separate HTML page with the file links in and then you won't have any silly forum size limits?

Or, a little database for the file links? (Okay maybe a little over the top!)

SELECT kewl_prods FROM os_uk_archive WHERE style = 'oldskool' AND format = 'amiga' :P

Ok Al,

A dedicated site/web portal was discussed before hand but it was decided that hotlinking via the forum was going to be an easier, lower maintenance option.

The character limit problem has now been resolved by just wrapping the list over numerous posts. 60,000 per post isn't a bad amount to play with tho. :)

zYX! - December 10, 2007 09:40 PM (GMT)
Actually you are probably right.

When I was redoing my page quick for those files I uploaded, I kept frigging around with it thinking - Should I add original release dates? Maybe multiple screenshots? Do I need more description for each title? How about a download counter?

In the end I just told myself that if I started that I would end up working on it for days, getting distracted and it would be another piece of work I had intentions for but never finished. So set myself a deadline that something HAD to be uploaded that night! It worked! LOL!

True. That knock on effect can be a real bitch sometimes and I'm more guilty than most for tinkering around with things, making them more pleasing on the eye instead of getting on with the damn job in hand.

I've let all but one of my personal sites expire recently and I've completely lost touch (and interest) with the most basic HTML never mind anything else, so that was another reason for the forum dump. Gimme simple BBCode any day *cough

Keep that motivational vibe a rockin! lol

Many thanx for the collections. :D

Surprised not to see any Fairlight productions in there anywhere,Anthema your missing Revolutions AGA Demo (think i may have somewhere) i`m sure i`ve also
got NFA`s Sauce `N` Code 4 which will finish off that collection.

So nice to see the demo scene from the good ole days supported and easily available for download. Keep up the good work :D

Hey Misha,

Glad you like the retro listings so far. I still have a LOT of stuff to add but just haven't had chance to do anything about it.

The file list is ideally aimed at UK based groups or those that had a large UK division. Fairlight did have a UK division so a selection of their prods will appear one day.

Thx for the offer of missing stuff, will drop a PM to you next time I'm on EAB. :)
