Counter: a blow delivered in receiving or parrying another blow.

I was going to do this more like a comic book style, but I guess I couldnt resist. This is also the first time I use Corel Painter, yay...>_>

I think he means the black man copping a right jab to the face.

Really nice work Lusvell, I had a look around your portfolio and you have a lot of good stuff in there. How are you creating these, with a tablet or something? I'd like to try something like this out, so far I have only really tried 3d work and a couple of vector illustrations.

eh, he's not black, he's just dark-skinned. Like...um, a hispanic person?

Linc: Yea, most of the time I sketch, ink and color it digitally with a tablet, but sometimes I like to go old school and do most of the line work on paper, and then add the color digitally.

I've tried getting into vector, since it's the most used medium for graphic design, but it's really quite nerving making all those points constantly and using the pen tool. But there are some amazing vector artists out there.

I'd like to pick up a tablet, it seems like you can get them fairly cheap these days too. I don't know anything about them though, except my friend recently got a Wacom that I could probably borrow for a test run. My downfall would probably be my lack of knowledge in colour theory, I don't really know the methods behind which colours to use at certain times when painting images like you do.

I haven't done too much vector myself, because like you said the pen tool can be pretty tedious as times. But if you take your time you can come up with some really good illustrations, I love the vector style of art, especially when the shading is done well in vector form.
