The "New Tokyo Tower," also known as Sumida Tower, seems to be the replacement to the old Tokyo Tower, which seems to be too short for broadcasting coverage ever since the construction of many high rise buildings around that area.
It's going to be 2001 ft(613.5m), being the tallest man-made tower in Japan, now all they have left is hope another giant radioactive dinosaur doesn't chew on it, or somebody lets a space colony fall over it XD
