| Word on the street Thursday has it that the upcoming Justice League of America movie will not, in fact, be a live action movie. Rather, IESB is reporting on what sounds to be fairly reliable rumors that the movie will be a CGI/motion-capture affair. This could make for an interesting movie feel (I've actually always wanted "Kingdom Come" to be done in this manner on screen, so this is probably as close as I'm ever going to get) and would obviously make it easier to pull this movie and "Superman 2" off simultaneously, production-wise. |

Honestly, I rather have a CGI JLA than a bad-acted JLA. Besides, it's all about money, and since Bale's and Routh's price tag is too much for the studios to pay, I'd say this is as good as it gets.
Someone please point out to them that Beowulf movie thats coming soon D:

FUCK YEAH! I really hope they go for CGI instead of live action, big stars nowadays have more camera time than they should, it's not about the script anymore, it's about them bitches D:, they better have an awesome script though D:

CGI would just be better economically speaking anyway. Plus, if they did it live action and not have Bale and Routh.....I'm pretty sure there would rioting.
Although it would be nice if those two got to at least VOICE their respective heroes. You know?

I'd rather have Kevin Conroy voice Bats, he became a classic, just like Mark Hamill did with the Joker :D

God your right. I just figured he wouldn't do it, just because this IS hollywood, and they only like to get top stars to the voices.......you don't see them getting Frank Welker for Megs. ALthough they did get Peter Cullen.....

| Following up on the JLA mo-cap/CGI story from earlier this week, IESB has done a little more digging on the situation and is now reporting that JLA will be a mix of CGI and live action, with the CGI being used to render the OMACS and the underwater scenes. Good news for those fans who were terrified of the prospects of a wholly CGI movie. |
They also offered the role of Superman to Tom Welling, the Smallville guy, No word yet on whether Welling has accepted the role, nor whether the Batman role has yet been recast. I have a feeling that both questions are going to be answered in the next couple weeks.

woah, woah....OMACS in this film?
Are they going to do an identity to infinite crisis storyline?

Doubt it, I think they'll just use them as some kind of "Alien invasion" drones, or something along those lines.

More rumors coming yer way...
The IESB has a fresh rumor about "Matrix" actor Laurence Fishburne getting green as the Martian Manhunter in the movie version, alongside Tom Welling as Superman and Ryan Reynolds as the Flash. Again, this is a rumor.
