So, it's no surprise to anyone now that the MG movie is on the way. Might suck, might not. Who knows. What do you guys want to see in it? What do you think the concept and based on what game should be on? Actors? cawks? discuss. ;)

hm....this is a tough decision really. This is one of those games that can be either done right, or be done so horribly it will tarnish game adaptions longer.

Story wise....they should give abit of back story of who Snake is (early Metal gear games), then go right into the Solid storyline. However I think this could be one of those things that's handled like a James Bond movie (where it takes place in one location, and story moves forward as Snake moves through the compound, etc.).

This is one movie, where they need to get an actor, who maybe could be unknown, but pulls off the gruff-ness of Snake. I really can't see too many 'famous' people been cast in the film.

They had better not fuck this up.

Hmm...
I think maybe Hugh Jackman could be a good Snake, hmmm...

Being a huge Metal Gear fan, I'm really looking forward to this. The idea in itself is quite scary, though. I can't firmly grasp the idea of a live-action Metal Gear movie, at all. Snake wouldn't be the same without the voice of David Hayter, that's for sure, but he's not an actor, so they couldn't possible let him do Snake.

But then again, they couldn't use Raiden either, since Quinton Flynn looks nothing like Raiden. It seems like it's all up to what Kojima decides to do, since he's producing and directing (I think).

We'll see how this works out.

And Kojima I believe has said that he wants Viggo Mortenssen to do Snake. I don't know. With enough make-up, it could work. But then again, the voice.
