Ever wondered how you could make a picture black&white without using the ugly method of just 'desurating'?

Well here is the tutorial for you!

Step 1:
Open your stock picture.
I chose this emo pic of yours truly..


Step 2:
Go to Image > Adjustments > Gradient map.
Usually, the default settings are beautifull, but you can change the brightness too.
You can do this by clicking on the gradient and aither sliding the left slider to the right or the right slider to the left. Or both.
This is with the standard settings:




With the black slider a bit to the right:




With the white slider a bit to the left:




With both applied:




So there you go!
The easiest way to get a good black&white picture!
