Title: 'progressives' Ban People For Defending Gun Rights

So, I've been posting in the 9/11 section of Randi Rhodes' forum for a year or so. I was accepted graciously by many regulars on the forum. I posted tons of info. No problems.

Then, I post the text from Micheal Moore's recent email to his frothing, bootlicking fans calling for taking of "assault weapons" and "handguns" "off of the streets".

The discussion devolved almost immediately with members calling me a "gun nut", "wacko", etc, etc...you know the drill. I posted quotes from the founders regarding the 2nd amendment. I was told by an obviously intelligent individual that that didn't matter because "the founding fathers were smart enough to leave it up to the Supreme Court to interpret the law." That makes sense....write a law, have it ratified, then send it over to you appointees to "interpret" it. Makes sense...right?

Anyway, I got banned. If you call Bush a moron, you are fine. If you call Clinton or his brainless stooges morons, you get banned. This is the mentality of so-called "progressives".

THIS COUNTRY IS IN BIG TROUBLE.

I just read about the same methods in here in another thread about sceptics. Who are these sceptics?

Who are you and what are you talking about?

I think she's saying that JREF operates under the same type of logic?

Roxdog - November 15, 2006 08:16 PM (GMT)
Ahhh....Yes. Agreed.

First, I agree with you on gun rights. I can't believe we agree on something. LOL

Second, all of these places are PRIVATE forums. JREF can ban who they want. This forum can do the same thing. They've both made it clear abide by their rules or leave.

I can live with that. I may not agree but I understand.

Never said they couldn't. And I abided by their rules. I understand very well the concept of private property.

I'm still breathing last time I checked...

No what that is, is the reality of the left wing in America. Much like the Reich Wing thinks only Democrats are lying crooked scumbags the left thinks all Democrats are innocent trustworthy pillars of society. Despite Waco, Ruby Ridge, WTC93, Banning assault weapons and disarming the American Militias (go read the Constitution and look around moron), OKC, multiple passings on assassination opportunities of CIA operative Osama Bin Laden, etc. They still think they're "the good guys".

Yes, indeed it is. Sometimes I wonder if we could ever take back this great Country. We have to work harder at wakeing people up to all the lies. It can be done.

We've already gotten a Democratic majority back in Congress. A step in the right direction, if you ask me!

A step indeed I would agree. But the mere fact that they're walking instead of sprinting "for the benefit of the party" pisses me off. Stupid political games. Bureaucracy is such a double edged sword. <_<

Because if I for one need to seriously choose between Republicans and Democrats, then I'll take a democratic majority over a republican one any day of the week. It dosent mean I like either party, support either party, or voted for either party. Maybe I'm wrong, and time will surely tell, but I've a feeling shit will slow down alittle bit with a Democratic Congress.

If you reply I'll probably agree with everything you say about how their in many ways equally as bad though.

I think it's about to accelerate seeing as many of the well-meaning liberals are going back to bed now that they think they are running things....sadly.

Do you really think that the majority of americans have the same opinion than people on this forum?
I don't think so, else 9/11 would already have been investigated again.
To the vast majority of americans democrates are against republicans, and when some people have voted democrates because they like the party, at least as much have voted democrates only to counter the republicans, so yes it's a good thing because these people are now ready ( or close to be ) to open their eyes to what really happened ( or to what did not happen ).
