The Story Behind the Beats
-------------------------------
In December, 2005, Dylan Avery moved into his apartment in Silver Spring, Maryland.
He was soon accomanied by a roommate fresh out of Los Angeles, Dustin Marshall, better known
as DJ Skooly. Dustin graciously provided both the recording equipment necessary to provide
a professional voice-over track, as well as the music that would give Loose Change the attitude
that defines it.
Dustin’s music was accompanied by the work of his friends Josue and Nick, Swae and Nick Tha 1da respectively.
The title track for Loose Change was actually composed by Smoke of Oldominion.
His identity was unknown to Dylan until February 2006, and the rights to use the beat for the
film were officially acquired. However, it does not appear on this soundtrack.
We would like to re-iterate that the purpose of this soundtrack is to put some food on the
tables of those whose music has defined Loose Change as it is today. Profits go directly
to the artists after costs.
We thank you for supporting this album.

I posted in another section, but I guess I should have posted it here. I found a site online that has the soundtrack, in case anybody wants it. The site is http://meanmore.com. I kinda wish that song was there, but I still can't wait to get it.

we let mrw sell 50 copies ahead of time, but we'll be handling all the sales soon, just so we cut out the middleman and give as much as possible to the artists.

I think Loose Change could have used a lot more Burt Bacharach myself.

Its a combo of two beats:

Morricone by Swae and The 4th Sense by Nick tha1da

fiskejohn - April 13, 2007 06:12 PM (GMT)
Is it the original beats in the CD or is there people who sing on the CD, couse i would like just the beats :S

Merkabassist - April 18, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
Hey Dylan, sorry if this has already been asked a thousand times, but how would I go about submitting one of my band's songs for consideration (Obviously for upcoming releases)? Also just wanted to let you know that I've been with you guys since the very beginning, and I really appreciate everything that you guys have done for the people of this once-great nation.

Ben Stone - May 14, 2007 03:47 AM (GMT)
Fellows! Great video, and I think, very important.

On sort of an academic note, one of your beat themes was actually by Heitor Villa Lobos, as recorded (I think) by Julian Bream.

I just bring this up for accuracy, and because you did a great job turning it into a 'beat'. And of course, because you'd probably enjoy the rest of the recording as well.

I'll comment on the content of Loose Change in the appropriate place.

Thanks,
Ben

Freakin brilliant soundtrack, too bad I'll have to buy it online stupid music stores don't have it because they hate a good taste in music (didn't have System of a Down or Rage Against the Machine either), god I'll wait another week for my budget to open up, damn stores don't have stock. The soundtrack for Loose Change is brilliant, I keep playing it to listen to the music, as well as the truth.

dreamliner - September 18, 2007 05:14 PM (GMT)
I love the first song from the movie with the Statue of Liberty in the background! Can I find it on the album??

Thanks! Greetings from Germany ;)
