Description: Re: Report on WTC7 Collapse

Greetings all,

Here's my contribution to getting to the bottom of this explosive story... If you feel so inclined, please feel free to use this as a template for your own comments on the BBC World Contact page:

OPEN LETTER TO Richard Porter, Head of News, BBC WORLD:

Dear Mr. Porter,

On your Editor's Blog entitled 'Part of the Conspiracy?' (Feb. 27, 2007) you made the following claim regarding BBC World News' 09/11/01 report on the collapse of WTC7.

"We did what we always did - sourced our reports... and constantly tried to check and double check the information we were receiving." - Richard Porter, Head of News (BBC World)

In the interest of free and open public discourse, as befits a public broadcaster, would you be kind enough to provide the aforementioned "source" for your report on the collapse of WTC7.

Your immediate attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Michael

You should have given more info in your letter. What is WTC7, what you think needs explaining. After all, the building did collapse, and my guess would be that he's not aware of the current tempest in a teapot about the early announcement.

Dr. Awkward,

Please feel free to add to my letter in your own correspondance with BBC World News. The more people who express their outrage the better!

Thanks.
