Title: How Many Engines & Landing Gear Pieces Are Known

to have fallen outside of the buildings? I know at least one of each fell outside the building, but it seems this is worth investigating.

When talking about the Pentagon and Shanksville, OCT people claim that airplanes can burn up and little will be left of them. When talking about the towers, they act as if a great burden was placed on the buildings by the weight of the airplane.

It seems to me that the only major pieces that would survive both the impact and the fire are the engines and landing gear pieces, so we should probably locate all of those pieces.

I will try and find the picture but *ALOT* (atleast to me) parts of the planes that hit the towers where found on top of a building, let me try and find the picture for you.

I'm mostly worried about the engines and landing gear, but sure... any pictures of aircraft wreckage outside the towers is welcome...

I know that in the FEMA Building Performance Study, they show where a few pieces went on page 1-6, but I'm just trying to catalogue where everything went & get an idea of which pictures go with so-and-so wreckage.

JTGOB,

Not sure if you have this, it's about 5,000 pics of 911. I saw one in there of an engine laying several blocks away (sorry, don't have the number).

Edit: Engine, #1688

Ah... good old capitalism. "Pay for the photos!"... "Install our adware!" Sigh...

Oh well... all I wanted was the info anyways. :) Thanks, man. That's a picture of one of the engines shown by the FEMA BPS report. Still have 3 engines to locate, but at least we have 1 very well accounted for.

Officially 1 engine and 2 landing gears at WTC.

(Although you can tell the 2 landing gears are the same exact ones both under contruction canopies.)

Of course, no one secretly walked around Ground Zero in the middle of the night, dropping these unidentifiable bits of plane on the ground, did they?
Hopefully just a poor joke....
