That the government has power greater than you first thought?
That people can orchestrate huge happenings without you even knowing beforehand?
That huge groups of people ar rolling in money you feel the dont deserve?
That "somebody knows", and they are not letting you in on their secret?

By the phrases you use, you kinda make it clear you do not count yourself among the "truthers."

That's okay, after all, this is the Skeptics Area.

I'll give you my feelings straight up.

• Our country has invaded and occupied a country that had nothing to do with 9/11.
• Our government has essentially destroyed some of our most cherished rights, to wit, habeus corpus and freedom from illegal searches and seizures and freedom of speech and assembly.
• Our government now pays major media outlets (owned by .. count them .. 5 people) to publish and push the government's propaganda. Ever read 1984?
• It is no longer possible for us to exercise our Freedom of Speech or Assembly. Just read some of the recent stories.
• All of this is made possible by only one seminal event -- the "attacks" on 9/11/2001.

I'm one of those "baby boomers." The country I grew up in is nothing like the country I see now. I'm mostly PO'd because the changes that have happened since 9/11/2001 are predicated on the (what I believe to be totally) false assumption that Muslim extremist terrorists perpetrated the horror we saw on 9/11/2001.
