Title: Freshman In High School
arw93 - September 13, 2007 01:43 AM (GMT)
I just started High school this year and have had my doubts since about eighth grade that this was an inside job. I even went so far as to buy the 9/11 Commission Report. Another book that I bought is "Why America Slept: The Failure to Prevent 9/11" but when I bring it up with my friends they call me insane. I've even posted a thread on student.com and have got tons of negative comments on it. I'm just glad I found a place where people have the same beliefs as I do.

better to confine your comments to friends outside the area in which you live, such as your friends here on loose change, and on the internet.
you can still talk to your friends about other things, and keep your friends, you must understand that they are a product of decades of brainwashing by the community they live in, it is not their fault.
I just returned from a trip to that area, it is currently a republican stronghold, students have been brainwashed by the military for decades. this problem is popping up all over the country, but it will never totally blot out free thinking among our young people.
just be happy that you have access to the internet, and can enjoy freedom of information outside of a neocon-controlled segment of american society. trying to bring truth and reason to them is like trying to mix oil with water.
when you finish school and you are old enough to move away from there to start adult life, you will find a multitude who think the way you do. until then, try and make the best of it, and work on keeping a high grade average in school--and enjoy the company of your friends, if they criticize you, make new friends.
real friends don't give each other a hard time, and they respect each other's beliefs
as an adult, you can exercize freedom of speech, and choose where you are going to live. working hard to get good grades will make it possible for you to have a good source of income as an adult, and make all these things happen for you.
