Right after September 11 it has been widely reported (first time on September 12) that Atta and Al Shehhi had been drinking in the afternoon of September 7 in a bar called Shuckums in Hollywood, Florida.
Night manager Tony Amos and waitress Patricia Idrissi were interviewed by the FBI and many journalists. Atta and Al Shehhi were heavily drinking, rude and finally told the waitress he worked for American Airlines.

The evening of September 7 Atta was seen drinking in Sarasota. Very close to the hotel where President Bush was staying the night of September 10. Again several persons witnessed him but this story only made it into the local press.

When the Commission Report claimed that Atta flew on September 7 to Baltimore there was still a very small chance that after his drinking tour in Shuckums he could still have gotten the last flight at 7.30. pm (though this would have been in strong contradiction to most accounts) and the Sarasota witnessing would have been a mistake (only based on one media account) but when the evidence of the Moussaoui trial was published we find a proof that Atta must have succeded in bilocation.

On Sep 7 a wire transfer from Al Shehhi's and Atta's account happened on Sep 7 at 15:58 in Fort Lauderdale.
This pushes the beginning of the drinking in Hollywood to later than 4.15 p.m. or somehow the alleged hijackers interrupted their session.
Now open the file on Al Shhehi (open OG00020.01 at the bottom of the list). Here you find:
Al Shehhi made on Sep 7 at 16:56 in Deerfield Beach an ATM withdrawal fom Saeed Al Ghamdi's account and was taken on video.
At the very same time he's drinking at Shuckums in Hollywood.

Atta took as officially stated in the already mentioned chronology on Atta he did take Flight 2719 from Fort Lauderdale to Baltimore on September 7, 2001. According to the BTS the plane was scheduled for 3:15 p.m.
Therefore Atta is on a flight to Baltimore while he is still witnessed drinking at Shuckums for hours....!

The problem is also this is by far not the only time when Atta is in two places at the same time, is described with different height, different English capacity, different signatures, different behaviour (from refusing to shake the hands of women to loving lapdances).

How come no less than seven alleged hijackers were in the US illegally and apparently didn’t bother to have a legal status (even leaving the country and returning etc)?

I have no idea which one is which.
I only know that reflecting about the idea of doubles in the particular case of Atta one has to refrain from thinking in simple categories as good/innocent guy and bad boy who lay the traces of evidence.
Who is who is opening the door to speculation and in my humble point of view loosing the advantage that we can prove that there have been doubles around.

Yes, indeed Atta isn't the only one. But certainly the one (as we know most about him) where we can best prove the double. Mr. Jarrah is also a top candidate (check out Paul Thompson's essay and my timeline on Jarrah).
But I'm convinced we should much more insist on what we can prove beyound a shadow of a doubt. And Atta is great for that!

So is Jarrah. New York and San Antonio though seem to be fairly quiet areas for investigation of the hijackers, and maybe this has to do with Hopsicker's efforts in Florida. Still undoubtedly there's good evidence of a second Jarrah. Possibly moreso than Atta even.

Unless of course the eyewitness is wrong, which is very likely, in which case your whole bodydouble-scenario falls apart.

If he was drinking in a bar, where is the security camera footage for example? Eyewitness reports aren't very credible.

If 19 suicidal Arabs boarding airplanes on 9/11/1 intended to hijack them and crash them then where are the airport security videos showing each group at it's respected location?

agreed about jarrah... jarrah is one of the most fascinating hijackers. as is mentioned in paul thompsons timeline, there are two instances for sure where jarrah was in two places at once.

also, he just generally did not fit the profile, he had a steady gf etc. he went to flight school twice when he had already passed the first time, he rented two apartments in the same city at the same time, he was caught speeding two times in two different red mitsubishis... it goes on and on, its just so bizarre.

You do realize that the article is NOT based on only one witness but at least THREE which have been interviewed by the FBI and the story was widely reported. Moreover there are many different occasions when Atta was witnessed in two different locations/ countries at the same time / different height / different behaviour / different appearance that even his landlord didn't recoginze his photo / different accent when talking English ets etc etc etc

The NSA headquarters are located in Laurel, MD at fort Meade.
