So when did this damage occur. Or am i totally misinterpreting the Steve Spak shot?

The damage to the roofline is exactly above the gash.

Or was your point that the roofline damage seems more severe in the later photos?

The roofline seems intact in the first shot. There's clearly a hole in the second shot.

I know it would be a tricky project to alter the perspective on the ABC shot to get it to completely agree with the perspective shown in Spak's video (for one thing, you can see the inset top part of 7 in the ABC shot but not from Spak's viewpoint). Nonetheless, even a rough approximation might be useful. Possibly, the 34MB .tif version of the shot below might be helpful as well. Or maybe one of the other .tifs from that gallery. #167 (34 MB) and #196 (34 MB) look like the best alternate candidates in the small versions.

Without having the higher res. version of this pic I can't tell for sure, but it may also show an intact roofline
