Title: Will Loose Change Keep My Privacy And Ip?
snuffy12105 - August 3, 2007 10:47 PM (GMT)
I'm sort of afraid that the US government will track me down with my IP and torture me or something. This seems ridiculous before watching the Loose Change video, but now, I'm not so sure. So will Loose Change provides privacy and vow to not give my info to CIA or something? :ph43r:

I'm pretty sure everyone feels that way after watching it the first time. I sure did. Of course if the Government really cared what you thought then yes, they would put spyware or a tracker on all Google and Youtube video links, track down your IP, and systematically kill you.
But theirs a nice little thing called freedom of speech, and that its very ridiculous to think that the government will kill you or be after you after watching a movie that is against the government in certain ways....

Seriously, I would be more afraid of the NSA spying on you via your cell phone.
Welcome, sit down, BREATHE, relax and learn.
And don't feed the trolls.... and especially do NOT let them intimidate you. ;)

Just so you know their capability is superior enough so that if they want to find you, it's really easy to find you without permission from anyone. Would require more resources to pinpoint your identity if you, for example, used an internet cafe or library, but if you scored a high enough threat level even then it wouldn't be so hard.
Really it's more about how much of a threat level you are perceived as than whether "they" can find you. They simply do not have the resources or power at present to pursue or directly threaten everyone that they would like...everyone has priorities.

I heard the NSA can now track you by the DNA in your breath as you exhale. Apparently, the more you breathe the more suspicious you become.

This is not hosted on a server owned by loose change. This forum is hosted by invisionfree. If they received a "National Security Letter", they could turn over IP addresses, etc. without Dylan and others knowing it.
If it gets to the point where the government is taking out truthers, it would be time to fight anyways. :P
Just relax.

Only ones who can see your IP are admins like me. And you can trust us. :)

Try something. Call a friend and say the key words,
bomb
president
bin laden
world trade center
terrorism
jihad
bush
and see if you get a visit from some black suits...
j/k don't try that. But I bet that sort of call would trigger someone directly listening to all conversations hence forth

I really doubt the government would care about this site enough to track anyone down... Of course if they did, even the admins couldnt help you then.

Not true. Don't forget that this board is hosted on a free hosting service. None of this technically belongs to you, it belongs to invisionfree, and they can turn over your IP's if they want to.
