Anybody seen that film Demolition man with Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes in it?

Where the Citizens of that area all look upto their leader and will follow him and do anything he says, they worship him.

Well when things go bad in that film the citizens all look up their sleezy leader and want to know what to do

Well with 911 is it possible that this was also to happen? in times of sadness and need, that the citizens of NY & maybe US look upto Bush. To feel safe? And therefore get behind their leader (ie vote, and agree with what he wants to do)

I know this may seem abit far stretched... but its possible...
