doooodooodoooodoooodoooo

Well, I DO believe in Unidentified Flying Objects, but I don't believe we are being visited by aliens (which is what I think the question is really asking).

Silver Tips - June 27, 2007 01:04 AM (GMT)
Yeah,

Sorry. I should have been more specific.

But yes, I do mean the popularized version of UFO's... i.e. Abductions, mutilations, etc, etc, etc, etc.....

i.e. Are you a hardcore believer?

Sorry!

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean exactly by this?

Powerhouse - June 27, 2007 04:00 AM (GMT)
When I was a teenager in the 70s, I saw a light moving in the night sky that I wasn't able to identify. Does that count as a UFO?

xBIGGSx - June 27, 2007 05:03 AM (GMT)
According to the poll, I am the only one to select yes. Quite frankly I beleive that if it's possible for a species on Earth to evolve to a level of far superiority amongst other habitat sharing organisms, then it could just as easily happen on some other planet...

far, far away.

Well, sure. I doubt you'll get any disagreement on that.

But that is completely separate from the question of whether aliens are here in spaceships.

DAV - June 27, 2007 06:36 PM (GMT)
Yes ... unidentified.

http://earthfiles.com/news.php?ID=1278&category=Environment

Interesting stuff, no?

Ranb - June 27, 2007 07:16 PM (GMT)
Do I believe that there are things in the sky that have not been identified? Yes. Do I think they are alien species? No.

The best evidence that there is alien life on other planets is that it has not visited us yet. :) This is not an original quote.

I've actually researched it. They're real. And they're here.

Wow, you managed to google absolute proof of alien life... and here we are spending billions of dollars sending probes to other planets for nothing when we could have been googling the answers to the mysteries of the universe on AOL for 10 bucks a month.

joe911 - July 24, 2007 12:49 PM (GMT)
Think About This;

If we were not alone in the universe, why would nearly every country in the world have alien and ufo scientists who spend 19 hours a day disecting rocs analysing dust?

You should watch the xfiles

What would you like to know more about:

Sightings?
Contacts?
Abductions?
Crop circles?
Cattle mutiliations?
Ancient astronauts?

There's a world of information out there on all these topics. You've just gotta grow the balls to look into it. I'm not going to spoon feed you. Since this is a 911T message board, and since Jim Marrs is one of the founding fathers of 911T, I recommend reading his book "Alien Agenda" which is a good, solid primer that covers a lot of ground and contains a wealth of different viewpoints on all these issues. Start there. :)

Last week I was in Rendelsham Forest in Suffolk/England (to watch an open air production of Hamlet!).

This is the scene of Britains "Roswell".

Christmas 1980 the security people at the US air force base located there chased lights around the forest for several nights - a Colonel (Charles Halt) got involved at one point and took his mini-cassette recorder with him and made a running commentary of what he was seeing.

The whole tape was available on the internet a few years ago - not sure now - anyway it was very spooky (think Blair Witch).

These guys were chasing UFO's - absolute fact!!

What they were however is another matter.

It's a great story either way.

There is today an "official" UFO trail in the woods you can follow, it takes about an hour to walk it - there are signposts where the main events happened. The airforce base is abandoned, the US left after the cold war. Those woods are really scary (in a Stephen King mad axeman could leap out at any moment kind - really isolated)!

A transcription of some of the tape...
http://www.ufoevidence.org/documents/doc660.htm
I think the tape was much longer then this.. perhaps 45 minutes.

History shows again and again how nature points out the folly of men.

Damn straight they are here.

Doubt creeping into your mind?

Refresh your inner mind... Hubble Space Telescope.

Spend 15 minutes watching the vids, then come tell me there are NO extra-terrestrials. :ph43r:

Anyone seen a History channel show called "Black Box UFO Secrets"??

MtnKnght - August 18, 2007 12:12 PM (GMT)
I have not. Television is the last thing i need to pay attention to.

However i have heard from friends that History Channel has been playing alot of controversial programs. Philadelphia experiment, Montauk Boys.. etc.

my question would naturally be WHY. History channel doesnt have its own transmitter.. so main stream media is allowing it to air. why.

my guess is to throw people off the track, so they arent paying attention to current events so much.

Its heinous to think that they can manipulate the "information feed" and hide the truth under a guise of "entertainment".

how many people see this stuff on TV and figure its gotta be fake, because "they wouldnt show it if it were true"

how was that show?.. i have seen one episode or two regarding Underground Cities beneath major aboveground cities.

UFOs and a Solution to the Environmental and Energy Crisis

from DisclosureProject Website

The Cover-up: UFOs

Mercury & Gemini Astronaut, Colonel Gordon Cooper
A saucer flew right over [us] and landed out on the dry lakebed. [The cameramen] went out with their cameras towards the UFO. I had a chance to hold [the film] up to the window to look at it. Good close-up shots. There was no doubt in my mind that it was someplace other than on this Earth. -- Video interview Transcribed in Disclosure, Steven M. Greer, MD., ed., pp. 226 - 227. See also Gordon Cooper & Bruce Henderson, Leap of Faith: an Astronaut's Journey into the Unknown, pp. 80-91, 194 - 200.

FAA Division Chief of Accidents and Investigations, John Callahan
The UFO was bouncing around the 747. [It] was a huge ball with lights running around it….Well, I've been involved in a lot of cover-ups with the FAA. When we gave the presentation to the Reagan staff, they had all those people swear that this never happened.

But they never had me swear it never happened. I can tell you what I've seen with my own eyes. I've got a videotape. I've got the voice tape. I've got the reports that were filed that will confirm what I've been telling you. -- Video interview and Disclosure, pp. 80 - 85.

Former Chief of Defense, British Royal Navy, Admiral Lord Hill-Norton
I have frequently been asked why a person of my background-a former Chief of the Defense Staff, a former Chairman of the NATO Military Committee-why I think there is a cover-up [of] the facts about UFOs. I believe governments fear that if they did disclose those facts, people would panic. I don't believe that at all.

There is a serious possibility that we are being visited by people from outer space. It behooves us to find out who they are, where they come from, and what they want. -- Video and Disclosure, pp. 305 - 307.

Former Director of CIA, Admiral R.H. Hillenkoetter
Behind the scenes, high-ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about the UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense.

To hide the facts, the Air Force has silenced its personnel. ---The New York Times, Sunday, February 28, 1960: "Air Force Order on 'Saucers' Cited," p. L30. See also Disclosure, p. 58.

US Navy Pilot, Lieutenant Frederick Fox
There is a [military] publication called JANAP 146E that has a section that says you will not reveal any information regarding the UFO phenomenon under penalty of $10,000 fine and ten years in jail. So the secret has been kept. -- Disclosure, pp. 145, 146.

Marine Corps, Corporal Jonathan Weygandt
[The UFO] was buried in the side of a cliff. When I first saw it, I was scared. I think the creatures calmed me….[Later] I was arrested [by an Air Force officer]. He was saying, "Do you like the Constitution?" I'm like, "Yeah." He said, "We don't obey. We just do what we want. And if you tell anybody [about us or the UFO], you will just come up missing." -- Video and Disclosure, pp. 275 - 277.

UFO Message: Don't Mess With Nuclear Weapons

US Air Force, FAA, Captain Robert Salas
[The security guard called and] said, "Sir, there's a glowing red object hovering right outside the front gate. I've got all the men out here with their weapons drawn." We lost between 16 to 18 ICBMs [nuclear-tipped InterContinental Ballistic Missiles] at the same time UFOs were in the area….[A high-ranking Air Force Officer] said, "Stop the investigation; do no more on this and do not write a final report."

I heard that many of the guards that reported this incident were sent off to Viet Nam. -- Video and Disclosure, pp. 168-171.

US Air Force Lieutenant, Professor Robert Jacobs
So this thing [UFO] fires a beam of light at the warhead, hits it and then it moves to the other side and fires another beam of light. And the warhead tumbles out of space. What message would I interpret from that? [The UFOs were telling us] don't mess with nuclear warheads. Major Mannsman said, "You are never to speak of this again."

After an article [about the incident years later], people would call and start screaming at me. One night somebody blew up my mailbox. -- Video and Disclosure, pp. 184, 187.

Read something similar ,only it was an alien ship actually intercepting and changing launch codes to a couple silos sporting nuke missiles.

The universe is 8 to 12 billion years old (Most likely older since there are stars older than this.) and the universe is also H.U.G.E. With HUGE I really mean HUGE.. Like astronomically HUGE: If earth would be the universe, our entire Milky Way (Our galaxy aka Milky Way, Diameter: 100,000 light-years = 946.080.000.000.000.000 KM or 569.927.710.843.373.493 Miles) will be not much bigger than an atom or maybe even smaller.
It will be naive to think we are the only living things in the universe.
I think there are billions of billions of life forms in the universe and a couple of thousand in our own milky way.
The older the galaxy, The more advanced the civilizations most likely are. SO I think that IF we are being visited by "Aliens" they are most likely not from our own milky way...

There are also a LOT of very old stories about for example gods descending from the sky and wall drawings of disk like objects with somekind of lifeform walking out of the disk like objects.
This can not just be imagination-
Btw, Don't you guys think it's weird that the "Ufo Sightings" increased exponentially after 1944? (When the first nuclear bomb was used to kill people)?

I can not prove Aliens exist, You can not prove they don't- It's that simple.

How can someone look at this and say we are the only living beings in the entire universe?

Perfectly said!

Who is really crazy....... the dude who claims, in all of endless space, that earth has the only life? or the dude with the open mind?

We don't know (at least most people don't!), but like you said, you just simply cannot prove it one way or another.

I've always liked the line, "if it is just us, seems like an awful waste of space"... lol... so true.
