 , it's 11:11 on a friday and i'm at home doing nothing <_<
lol, i'm bored - so i thought i'd create a topic about, well, anything.
So.. how's everyone doing tonight?
sybillecutey - February 10, 2006 11:25 PM (GMT)
I'm good, have tons of exams for next week, I gotta revise.
invisible man - February 10, 2006 11:32 PM (GMT)
Ladies, the situation I'm in is serious!
I'm sittin alone at home on a friday night! That didn't happend for years!
Normally I'm at my rehearsels or I'm ina club at fridays, but today I wanted to relax a bit. Know what? I'm not good in relaxing!
I hate it! :(
So I opened a bottle of wine and I smoke as always way tooooo much!
Maybe I should start to get involved into serious relationships. I'm not really good in that. Normally I get bored after 3 months
:badmood:
That's why I'm sitting here all alone :argh: , but the good thing is: It's always a bad mood that makes you really creative :winkwink: , so I'll write a song while I check laurynet.com.
PEACE

I'm just smokin cigarettes. I never drink without smoking, it's like eating a pizza without cheese. :( I know it's stupid to smoke, but sometimes I like to stay in the bluesy mood.

Same here. I always tell myself "DON'T SMOKE TONIGHT!" and then I'm doing it anyways. Not so much anymore tho' - My hangovers are 100 times worse when I've been smoking aswell.
I like this thread!
sybillecutey - February 11, 2006 06:11 PM (GMT)
I can't stand cigarette smoke, and my cousin is just like me. Whenever we used to go clubbing, we'd get so annoyed that people around us were smoking.
LookingForTheTruth - February 11, 2006 07:36 PM (GMT)
I don't smoke (only hookah and very seldom...with friends.........no weed lol....apple tobacco or smth like that :) )..... just think it's stupid to harm yourself smoking cigarettes or smth like that regularly.....and trying give up stupid habits......I drink only when i am in such company......not really often
It seemed strange to me that u, invisible, writes songs when u are in a bad mood cuz i am creative only when I feel great......so be optimistic......tho I admit that being in a bad mood (cuz of something u don't like - for example your friend betrayed you or smth.....) u can make lyrics about some problems more realistic....
but many times we just feel bad cuz we aren't satisfied of ourselves.....get bored...- and it's really hard to write something being depressed (for me)
when i am in a bad mood i listen to music and when i am bored of music i try to relax....read...think......the best thing is to go to sleep if nothing helps.......I found out for myself that i don't get pleasure spenging time with vine and cigarettes.....dunno why.....it seems weird to me........depends on people's imagination - we usually do what we think is cool and it is wrong sometimes

i dunno why but I feel that your attitude to me isn't good........mabye I am wrong......
simone - February 11, 2006 08:47 PM (GMT)
You are right, my attitude to you is not good, check yours to others.
Anyway, I'm not your mom

<_< , a 'conversation' thread, not an 'arguement' thread
lol, it's weird, because my view on smokers and smoking changes depending on situations.
I hate it when people i don' t know smoke arounds me, i don't mind it so much when it's someone i know, but i still try and stand a little bit away from them, but then if i've been drinking i ask people for cigerattes.
Anyway, i brought a guitar today :o , no idea how to play it, but i plan on teaching myself (and my friend said he'd help me if i need it).
Wish me good luck.

LookingForTheTruth - February 11, 2006 10:55 PM (GMT)
i want to get to know the base....my mother is a singer so i think she will find smb to give me several base guitar lessons.....then I'll be able to continue myself........wanna try rapping with guitar (love the vocab-song of the fugees from blunted album)
invisible man - February 12, 2006 02:46 AM (GMT)
I hope you didn't get the impression of a depressed person, when you read my poste.
I don't only get creative ahen I'm in a bad mood. I just need situations that make me feel very intense, one of these situations is for example when I'm in a bad mood.
But I must confees that being creative was always a way for me to learn more abou my self and sometimes it's hard to except certain things about yourself. It's like looking into a mirror and you don't like what you see, but you have to get along with. These are moments that start chainreactions, and as a reault you get a bad mood. But the good thing is that being creative helps you to feel confident again.
I hope I didn't make too many typos, I'm coming back from a boring party. I hate student parties <_< these people are soooooooo  . Don't know why I go to this parties. Maybe I got the hope to meet some interesting women there, but you only get nerds or b****** -_- I'm tired of that!
I had a coversation with a nice girl and she told me how much she loves mariah carey :badmood: that was the point when I started to drink more beer.
I thought I could forget her faible for mariah, but then she asked if I listen to ashanti. The next time I'll wear a T-shirt with the miseducated cover, to provide conversations like this <_< She's a mariah fan, but I got her number :D

hehe invisible man, sometimes opposites attract, so u never know, her being a mariah fan might be a good thing! U'll get to miseducate her on her musical tastes anyway!
I know what u mean about being down and being creative, it's actually been discussed by a lot of psychologists, have u read anything by Kay Redfield Jameson? I did my dissertation on Virginia Woolf and how her mental illness affected her work, and Jameson's book 'Touched With Fire' is all about the relationship between manic depression and artistic genius. Basically, when artists are low, they have the time to consider their experiences and have intense internal realisations, then, when the manic period starts, they focus all that melancholy into extreme productivity. It's true of great writers such as Woolf and Plath, and also in many other genres, i think it's very interesting.
LookingForTheTruth - February 12, 2006 11:50 AM (GMT)
Stop dissing mariah :crying:
she does have beautiful songs
respect your state of mind, invidible and I agree with the most u said

lol, you're so funny! Soo.. Are we feelin hung-over today? ^_^ I love student parties btw - I think it's much more fun than going to a club, plus there's often live music.
invisible man - February 12, 2006 02:09 PM (GMT)
It depends on the country and the town where you study.
I went to some student parties that were quiet cool, but sometimes you only meet people who already planned their whole career, how many children they want and which college their children will visit. that scares me.
I don't feel priviliged just because I visit an university, I met so many people in my life that had no degree or not a great career in school and they were so wise and smart and did they did their thing.
You can study your whole life and still be an idiot

busy girl :P
I'll become a teacher in german and history when I'm finished, but I guess I will travel a while around the world when I finished my studies.
Can't see myself as a techer in the next 5 years, although I enjoy being a teacher.
I have a good connection to kids and I spent half a year in a school in an area of our town where only children from poor families went to. It was a great experience, I learned that all these problems these children have (Drugs, unemployment, violence...) are problems I can deal with. These things don't follow me when I'm at home. And I think I can do more when i teach these children rather being a teacher in a private school.

I'm still at college doing three subjects - English Literature, Psychology and Media Studies.
Before i started college, i originally wanted to do Psychology at Uni and aim for a Psychology-realted career, but i changed my mind after i started the course at college. Instead i've decided i want a job somewhere in the film or television industry (although i'm leaning more towards television atm) - although i'm not sure what part. It's kind of ironic though, as i decided i wanted to do Media at the very last minute (in fact, when i was enrolling at my college and the person asked me if i wanted to change anything).
:( , i'm a realistic though - so i'm aware that everyone and their dog wants to work in film/television, which means it's going to be hard for me, but i've done quite a bit of filming which (i hope) makes me stand out from the crowd.
Like the summer just gone, i was funded to go to Portugal with some other people and make a documentary about third-generation african imigrants and the racism they still encounter. It was probably the highlight of my year as it was a totally new experience and i learnt so much (including stuff about my life - through reflecting, theirs and loads of filming techniques and stuff), it was just a great experience.

i really admire people who can teach I-man, i don't think i'd have the patience, although my mum and grandmother are both teachers. I definitely think travelling is a great idea tho, u'll have so much more to teach once u've seen the world!
Lost Ones, I know what u mean about media, i've got friends who are trying to get into the industry, u end up doing unpaid work experience forever, and that's if your lucky! Still, it sounds like u've done some interesting stuff, don't give up on it! I wanna be a media lawyer, which again, everyone wants to do these days, but there's no way i'm gonna give up just cos the popularity makes it more difficult, we'll get there in the end!
