At the moment it would be definetely Amy Winheouse with "Stronger then me".
THis girl has such a sassy, bitchy voice that it is a pleasure to listen to her lyrics. I love her! But not as much as I love lauryn ;)

thanks ddd. I can't wait !!!
By the way you're right when you say you prefer their rapping on blunted.
On the score it seems more monotonous.
ddd - November 17, 2005 03:35 PM (GMT)
Yeah,on the Blunted they have that unique style, not much rappers can rap like that

I like Amy WInehouse too. I bought her album like a year ago. At first it's hard to get used to her music but now I love it.
Her lyrics are really smart and beyond her age. She was 19 when she wrote the songs for her first album "Frank" which was mainly produced by Salaam Remi (who also worked with Lauryn Hill on Miseducation) The album doesn't sound anything like Lauryn just in case you wondering but it's worth checking it out.
Louise - November 18, 2005 09:14 AM (GMT)
Lucifer's a great tune...have u heard the original by Bunny Wailer...it's called Chase the Devil. The Prodigy also sampled it on Out of Space, if you remember that tune!
Glenn - November 18, 2005 03:15 PM (GMT)
I also LOVE Amy Winehouse... she is great. I saw her performing live about a year ago... she is great.. can't wait for her new album.
and I would reccomend you to listen to Devendra Benhart and Juliette Lewis & the Licks both are sooo good!

I love Amy Winehouse too!! Her music is absolutely amazing!
...Salaam Remi has also worked with Ms Dynamite and Joss Stone plus probably many more
Erykah Badu must be my favourite artist! (or her and Lauryn shares the first place :P )
I would recommend you to hear Massive Attack, especially their first album Blue Lines, it's my favourite album ever, it's so good!!
Aaliyah was actually what got me into R&B/soul music, she used to be my favourite artist, I still like her but I haven't listened to her for a while. Her last album is amazing though, I especially love the songs she did with Timbaland, they are genius!
