Accompanied by a five-piece band, including his cousin and longtime production partner, Jerry Wonder, Clef performed new songs like “Slow Down,” “Fast Car,” “Heaven’s In New York” and “Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill)” in addition to classics like “Gone Til November” and “911.”

Always quite the comedian, Clef lead into “President” by advising, “Giuliani wanna be president. Obama wanna be president. Hillary wanna be president. Vote for me.” Clef also took a gratuitous swipe at Lauryn Hill during the taping when asking one of his handlers to wipe his sweat with a towel.

“You might wanna come wipe me down, I’m paying you,” Clef joked before rolling his eyes and adding. “I’m a get on some Lauryn Hill stuff. Call me Ms. Hill. Call me Mr. Jean.”

Clef has been vocal about his former bandmate since the Fugees reunion failed. He recently blasted Hill’s production incompetence in Scratch Magazine’s September/October issue.

Other highlights included freestyles Clef performed during tape changes and a rendition of “No Woman, No Cry” to close the concert. “Soulstage” with Wyclef Jean is scheduled to air on VH1 Soul December 4th, the same dayCarnival Vol. II hits stores.

Wyclef is so....vindictive. Remember when Pras kept blaming him for the group not being together anymore; he said wyclef "was the cancer of the group and the reason for Hill's problems." To me, it seems like Wyclef is trying to get back at Lauryn. It seems like he feels like "YES, FINALLY, THE BLAME ISN'T ON ME ANYMORE!" No what I mean. Because honestly, the topic of Lauryn is the only thing he seems to care to even talk about. And Lauryn on the other hand, does not have anything negative to say about the group; at least she knows how to keep her mouth shut.

*Wyclef Jean confirmed his relationship with Lauryn Hill during a visit to Power 92 Chicago's the Chocolate Jock Morning Jump-off show.

According to co-host Kendra G, Wyclef said he believes the eccentric behavior of his former Fugees bandmate is due to a bi-polar condition, and not drug use as rumors have suggested.

Clef also claimed Hill's Grammy-winning album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" was dedicated to him.

As a response, Wyclef said he recorded the track "Someone Please Call 911" with Mary J. Blige.

Wyclef stated, "So I would say that after our relationship she went through whatever she had to go through but this is like 14years later…she gotta get it straight!"

@tellthetruth I do think LH is over Clef & its Rohan that is on her mind. I remember reading that she got w Rohan bc Clef rejected her.

Plus, Clef is married & has a daughter. If I were his wife( isnt her name Marie?) I'd be upset.
