A website called styledash.com posted an article called

"Lauryn Hill's stylist might be a clown" by Lauren Messiah

Judging by the recent pictures of lauryn, one who knows nothing about her might agree. Most people probably look at her and think shes lost her mind.

I cant understand why people are so focused on what she's wearing rather than the message she is trying to get out there. When i first saw the new pictures i had a good laugh, but i realized Lauryn has always been considered a fashion icon in the eyes of the hip-hop community until now, and that was exactly the problem, people cared more about her appearance and many companies saw this as a way to exploit her. She never wanted to be used in this way. I believe that she is trying to show us that no matter what people think about her, Lauryn Hill is going to be Lauryn Hill. She will not compromise herself to fit the image that the music industry wants her to fit. She is an artist and a teacher and she wants us to realize that and stop fantasizing about the people pleasing character she left behind.

I personally would not dress this way but what does it matter? Lauryn Hill to me is the greatest and most influential artist of all time and it does not matter to me what she wears. I LOVE her music and her message. True fans will appreciate her music not what she looks like.

What do you think about Lauryn's "Thriller/Rodeo Clown" inspired wardrobe?
