It's nice to hear her talking about the things we've discussed for so long. The Fugees reunion, the album and everything. I'm so happy that she enjoyed herself during these European gigs.

Those 13 minutes of the video seemed like hours to me...i spent the past hour watching it over and over and over again! This is what we love!!!!!

It was so amazing and refreshing to see her...i just love the way she speeks...she is so well spoken!!!!!

LH does summer tours then rests the rest of the year. Last tour she did was the Fugees Reunion 2 yrs ago in summer 5.

I wonder y she wont tour the US ? What did u all do 2 her ?

First of all the summer 05 tour was a LH solo tour. The Fugees tour took place after that in December of '05. In between she did a show in Central Park NY, a British awards show, some private function in NYC and again down in Miami
For other non-summer shows. Spring 05 she played a Tsunami relief concert in Malaysia, then she did a private show in LA. Then VibeFest in Georgia. Played in Aruba Memorial day weekend. She alos played with the Fugees on the BET awards show in June. In 2007 she did a bunch of shows before the summer tour. For someone in hiding she plays a lot of concerts. 50+ solo concerts plus the fugees tour in the past two years alone. :wub:

After the Unplugged was recorded in sum 1( aired in sum2), LH's 1st concert was the Chappelle Block Party in Sept 04, then a show in Chicago (on 19 Sept 4 I think).

But u r right in that LH did do like 5 places in the US in 05, then the Decemeber Euro Fugees tour, then 6 places in US in summer 6 . . .still that is a tour ? Hardly. A few dates here & there is what I call it.

REREAD what u posted. The Malaysia concert was a benefit for the Tsunami. The May 06 Miami 1( miami 06 concert ) was in a hotel lobby, was a private function for just 70 ppl, and ended up being hotel stafff who brought their kids. Various private functions are just that: private functions. They arent tour dates. They are corporate functions in which tickets cost $500 minimum.

So my original post is still valid: LH does seasonal performances 1x a yr, so how is she not resting her voice ?

I was pointing out that both sentenes are incorrect.
First your notion that she "rests the rest of the year". You didn't say anything about no more tours the rest of the year; you said she rests.
I was also pointing out that the fugees reunion tour was not in the summer of '05. She did an 18 date european solo tour in the summer of '05. The fugees was in Dec (following several other solo shows between. Though I guess to you they would be rest).

As for why no US tour, you'd have to ask her. Maybe because if she doesn't do a 10 year old version of doo wop the crowd doesn't get it? Maybe she's waiting to support a new album. She's got more than an album of new stuff in the pipeline..
