Fugees Set December Release Date For New Album

The Fugees, which include Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras Michel, are definitely back together, and the group's label, Sony Records, has set a December 27 release date for their new untitled album. The group's first new single in almost 10 years, "Be Easy," debuted on urban radio last week.

The Fugees have been recording for two months. They initially reunited last year after making an appearance at Dave Chappelle's Block Party in Brooklyn. This past June, the group opened the Fifth Annual BET Awards, and the buzz around the new project has been growing since.

An video from the new project will be released in the coming weeks.

so no Lauryn's album in november!...I'm sad....and happy..at the same time..do you think it's possible?!! :wacko: It happens so quickly..just 3 months ago she wasn't sure about the possibility of a reunion and a album with the fugees and now they're really back....Wow...my heart can't stand other strong emotions!!! :blink:

I really don't know anymore, I can't keep track of all these release dates. If somebody gets to meet Lauryn on the Fugees tour, they should definitely ask her about her album!

lol, maybe I should make a huge sign that says "WHEN IS YOUR ALBUM COMING OUT LAURYN???" and bring it to the Stockholm concert :D

My theory is that both album will drop the same time.It could be a double album ,part 1 ,the fugees,part 2 just Lauryn !

But if you're standing on the front row ,people won't even notice you.
Besides,didn't you see,in germany this summer,one guy had a banner where he wrote "Give us more Jesus in your songs !".

I don't get lauryn i read somewhere ages ago that she hated bein in the fugees. And i thought she'd bring a solo album out first. i hope the album isn't accoustic. Could ne 1 email me the mp3 of the new Fugees song cos i can't download it an i really wanna listen to it.

Yeah her fans are quite crazy, aren't they? In Denmark, when the first guy jumped in the water and swam to the stage, she LAUGHED! But who could blame her - The intire audience of 3.000 people either laughed out loud out, or looked like this :blink: And when she shook his hand and he was taken away by the security, she said (this was in the middle of a song - I think it was Killing Me Softly) "Be safe, be safe!"

gud point sybill the record company prob invested alot of money in lauryn her record was ment 2 come out in 2001.

she didn't said she hated being in the fugees...she said she had some problems...well Clef didn't act so well...but she also said that when they meet..there's that strange feeling that pull them to work together there's the old good feeling everytime they do something together...so maybe they're just trying and see what will happen!!

I just saw the video and yes, it is her earring! Actually I saw "Making the video" on MTV - I think it was about the new Jessica Simpson video or something, and the choreographer had on those EXACT earrings! I bet they're by some fancy designer.
