Title: BEST LINES..

PR!NCE - July 20, 2006 02:32 PM (GMT)
What are some of your favourite lines of L?

Here's mine:

"Chicks try model after me like I'm Tyra..
Banks wanna thank me cause my statements are prodigious..
styles so prestigous, make a sinner act religious"
- Keep It Tight

"I'm the L won't you pull it, straight to the head with
the speed of a bullet"
- The Score

"While you gwaan, watch out for Babylon, MC's babble on
+ on, I phenom, bomb like Ethiopians"
- Hip Hopera

[R]

i love the quote from Keep it Tight, I also love the whole verse from Manifest, especially...

'He stole the heart beating from my chest,
I tried to call the cops, that type of thief they can't arrest,
Pain suppressed will lead to cardiac arrest
Diamonds deserve diamonds but he convinced me I was worth less.'

There's so many I love, but I can't list them all here!

i love the quote from Keep it Tight,

I second that - the word play with 'Banks' was hot.

I'll post some of my favourite lines later.

-The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

"Everyday's another chance, to get it right this time"
- I Gotta Find Peace Of Mind

"You said you'd die for me... why won't you live for me"
- Ex-factor

Just a few of the many.. of course I'm sure it's the same for all of you.

-Forgive them father

Actually, the whole rap part is very strong!!

Love,

Charlie

Youngsoul - July 23, 2006 05:43 PM (GMT)
"In the rhythm, Santana lick the
guits with precision
Not accidental, intentional,
concious decision." do you like the way with santana and cee lo

i also like da one from keep it tight usin da word bank...

"why evry indian wanna be da cheif?..feed a man til they fool and they still want beef" and da rest of dat verse from forgive them father

Louise - July 24, 2006 08:56 AM (GMT)
'Lyrical sedative, keeps niggas meditative,
Head rushes I give to creative kids and fiends...

...See even I feel the mahogony, L
Natural hallucinogen,
turning boys to men again
With estrogen dreams,
Release blues, yellows and greens
From Brownsville to Queens.'' - The Score

I love the whole of that verse, but those are my favourite parts

'I treat this like my thesis,
Well-written topic broken down into pieces,
I introduce then produce words so profuse
It's abuse how I juice up this beat like I'm deuce.' - Final Hour

sybillecutey - July 24, 2006 03:58 PM (GMT)
Now, now how come your talk turn cold
Gained the whole world for the price of your soul
Tryin to grab hold of what you cant control
Now youre all floss, what a sight to behold
Wisdom is better than silver and gold
I was hopeless now Im on hope road
Every man want to act like hes exempt
When him need to get down on his knees and repent
Cant slick talk on the day of judgement
Your movements similar to a serpent
Tried to play straight, how your whole style bent?
Consequence is no coincidence
Hypocrites always want to play innocent
Always want to take it to the full out extent
Always want to make it seem like good intent
Never want to face it when its time for punishment

Youngsoul - July 25, 2006 08:11 PM (GMT)
she has one on turn your lights down low wen she uses a play on words with ocean..

mitchrich - July 26, 2006 01:00 AM (GMT)
all the unplugged lyrics, love them, pure truth:

Specifically:

too engaged in denial to admit we're immature; stop blaming other people, oh its nobody elses fault; accept the truth about you,
you know that life goes on without you - Mr. Intentional

I like her rhyme:
my style so prostigious make a sinner act religious - keep it tight

MarcAnthony - July 27, 2006 05:03 AM (GMT)
"Watch the master plan, the pasteur spands, move these sheep, throught these streets like a shepard, its a new day, my whold crew stay forever striving, give thanks we alive, been throught the gutter, now we see the horizon..."
from Carlos Santana..."DO YOU LIKE THE WAY"

sorry if the words arent exactly right....im sleepy, and going to bed, but i wanted to do this before i lay down.

peace.

swifty - July 28, 2006 06:53 AM (GMT)
..got your whole block sayin tru dat, if only they knew that it was you who was irregular, sold your soul for some secular musack thats whack, plus you use that, loop over and over, claiming that you got a new style, your attempts are futile ooh child, your purile, brainwaves are sterile, you cant create, you just wait to take my tape..

..im on some astrophysics, quantum leaping on your tactics, triple bypasses, your crew slow like molasses, while i amass cream like jackie kennedy onasis..

..street academics seen alota girls mimmic, but when its all over you can tell who's the gimmic..

..fantastic mythologies, reverse psychologies, false ideologies, in rap, alter facts like some european scholars b, rhyme unprecedented, if i said it, then i meant, my style maybe you can rent it, but it still wont be yours, kinda like the clothes and videos you return to the stores, L secure, click thick like iron ore, throw a hammer on your grammer like my name was thor, i bust riches and rags, coach bags and gypsie cabs, i make a crab wanna back up, my style will make you act up, femme fatale..

'What's the matter with the black man? (Black man) (x2)
Now a statistic. So dreams of her become realistic.
Poor bastard gets mystic I don't believe you checked the psychic
Emancipate your mind. Don't set the limit. Reach the summit.
Free your spirit 'cause your blunted
From the lyrics I just stuttered.
'Live by the streets' says the brother with the machete.
'Live by the lady' says the brother with the glock
But yo, I live logically, no weak slave to poverty.
You see it's very easy to slip between the asphalt sheet.
Brothers from my way they used to get mad plays.
Stealing cars and bustin' doughnuts 'til the break of day.
Brother, my brother, you played me undercover.
She wouldn't be your lover so now you tried to dis her
The sister. You missed her but ask yourself a question.
Can I make a suggestion? I need a true confession.
Is she skivs 'cause the skin that she's in makes you sin?
Do you hit her just to get her and degrade another sister?
Mister. I asked him for a hanky. He asked if he could spank me.
So why'd you disrespect me, sir?
Were you thinking I'm misguided or were you tryin to hide it
That you had no father figure.
Which? Check out your wackness. It won't distrust my blackness.
I would go for a smack, but don't think that it would help this.
What's the matter with the black man (Black man)' - Vocab LP version

'Hey yo I, feel kind of melancholy people think they really know me
I keep my rap book by me while I'm driving daddy's Audi
I pay the toll fighting for my own soul
Cause the bourgeoise type of mental sucks like a flat comb
But I be baitin the rebel base to bass distort the EQ
The devil's wishin they could send me back to Mogadishu
Cause I've been wild since I was a juvenile
Afro-centric profile, back when righteous rap was your style
Now kids are whylin so I ask the bad black
Boogie bandit, what's the damage, gimme the estimate then
pray tell me when's the revolution will begin?
I turn on my TV I check out Farrakhan on CNN see
I'm like the phantom that's flying like the bird
Doing things you never heard plus I come from the suburbs
Word to God, I heard you're acting kind of hard
And you got your skin scarred when they was shootin on the boulevard' - Vocab (hip hop rmx)

'The glory got you hot 'cos your crew put you on,
But I've been rockin' mic's since the days of Babylon!
My pen was eucalyptus, and my rap book was the scroll
I walked for many moons, and let the sands adjust to my control
You're swole 'cause you couldn't cross the burnin' sands
You never had no mercy when my people was in Egypt's land
Say, "Yes I can!" With the force of Elijah
Steppin' to you, they get irrigated like the Niger
So hide the cattle
Fugees come to battle
We'll take all your bounty, then we'll eat your vittles
I'm used to the type of poetics that mesmerize
I caught you checkin' with them Bette Davis eyes!
Surprise, surprise! You never knew a girl could stylize!
It's from the soul! I ain't freakin' with white lies
Yo, hey guys! Remember the summer of '92?
Battle after battle! Crew after crew!
So, hachoo! Fugees coming with a brand new style!
I'm rollin' with them hoodies from the H-A-I!
It takes awhile for them average niggas to get it
But once they understand they won't want to freak with this, see...
I'm like the phantom
That's flying like the bird
Doin' shit you never heard
Plus I come from the suburbs
Word to God!
I heard ya had it kinda hard
and you got your skin scarred when they was shootin' on the boulevard!' - Vocab (Salaam's rmx)

I love all her verses on the Vocab mixes!!
