incognito - May 27, 2006 02:49 AM (GMT)
Does anyone know songs that Lauryn has written for other artists excluding the fugee tracks: (please add if you know more)

which songs did she wrote for the Fugees?
incognito - May 27, 2006 03:33 PM (GMT)
I mean tracks that she adds to or collaborates with? The rhymes she spits and the hooks she sings on the fugee joints.
Those don't count as they relate to her singing career, just as songs written by her on miseducation and unplugged.
make sense?

sybillecutey - May 29, 2006 01:58 AM (GMT)
I loved "A Rose is Still A Rose"
she also wrote "My Love" ( not the current version we know), as a bonus track on a Withney Houston album.

i've been meaning to post this for a while but this is on that day it was on a 1998 cece winans album and in 2004 on the let it rain album by: Bishop Paul S. Morton [a bishop in the baptist church]
The world is movin much too fast
mother's have kids, they outlast
young men think it's hard to pass this way
Everybody's tryin hard
to find a world in a life that's flawed
When each one should be thanking God
all the way
(chorus)
I want to see you on that day
On that day
On that day
You know I want to see you on that day
On that day
On that day
We're chasing wordly vanity
Some of us living in insanity
forgetting our humanity with no way
Break the bonds that tie your flesh
without Him then life is death
only He will not transgress
there's no way
open up your heart and know
our debts were paid for long ago
and love is all we really owe
(for a way)
Chorus

do you mean "I was made to love him"? It's a bonus track on whitney Houstons "My love is your love" album. The original was sung by Frank Sinatara and Stevie Wonder.

Back in the miseducation days there was a rumor that L is going to record a song together with NSYNC for the sesamestreet. Does anybody know anything about that rumor?

Really ? Lauryn and N'Sync? ( even though I like Justin :crush: ).
the only thing I know is that she appeared on HBO family to do a bedtime story episode, where u could hear her sing "hush little baby". But I've never heard of any NSync collabo ( I heard that she was gonna do a song with Micheal, one with Mariah etc...).
incognito - May 31, 2006 12:54 AM (GMT)
if anyone has the cece winans song on mp3, do you think you could upload it on yousendit.org?

Yeah, they talked about it on MTV news. They said BIBO (I think in america they call him gig bird, the yellow big bird, whatever... ^_^ ) was supposed to appear on that song. It was right after her "Tuen your lights down low" single when everybody expected sth. new in a short time. and now, six years later there is still no new studio album :(

No, no you got it wrong. The fugees DID collaborate with Big Bird (sesame street project), for a song entiltled "Happy to be Me". I think it was released in 1997. I saw the video. It was cheezy but nice still.
invisible man - June 1, 2006 11:11 AM (GMT)
I never heard about that, but I'm sure they talked about lauryn Hill, Big Bird and NSYNC, because I taped it and saw it many times. Please don't ask where I got this tape, it's years ago :(

sybillecutey - June 6, 2006 01:59 PM (GMT)
I saw it a loooong time ago ( 1998), on some website. But I guess they shut it down. :(
LostOnes - June 6, 2006 02:46 PM (GMT)
:(, I haven't either.
I'm guessing they're singing in it - right?

LOL, they could have been rapping.
But as it's for a children's show that wouldn't have made too much sense.
