BAP'S OUT IF REYES RETURNS
By John Cross
JOSE ANTONIO REYES could be set for a humiliating return to Arsenal after Real Madrid warned they may not buy him.
The 23-year-old is on a season-long loan at the Bernabeu as part of the deal that brought Julio Baptista to Arsenal.
Reyes made a bright start in Spain but is now struggling to get in the team and Real have indicated they will not sign him permanently if that continues.
If he is sent back to London, Brazil international Baptista - who wants to stay at Arsenal - would have to rejoin Real.
The Gunners off-loaded £16m Spain forward Reyes in August after he complained for months of being home sick and that joining Real was his dream.
But with coach Fabio Capello under pressure and the club hierarchy wanting a shake-up, Reyes is among players likely to be axed.
Atletico Madrid offered £8.1m for him, which Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, rejected as an "insult". If Real are not interested Wenger will look for another buyer, but would rather have Reyes back than sell at a huge loss.

Baptista has been great for Arsenal lately, and although Reyes has had a dip in form lately, generally he has been one of our brightest players this season, i think a permanent swap would be the best deal for both parties, as both players were signed for a similar fee from Sevilla. But if both players were to return to their parent clubs, i think Arsenal would come out with the better deal as Reyes has done pretty good for the London club whereas Baptista was big fkn liability for us last season.

this is what sky sports said
REAL MADRID v LEVANTE
This is the kind of match that Real Madrid has to win.
The injury to Jose Antonio Reyes who is out for three weeks basically suspends the decision of Fabio Capello to leave out both Reyes and Robinho which he would have done with the idea of asking much more from them.
I have heard that Real Madrid, at the moment, don't want Reyes to stay at the club.
This may create a little bit of a problem for Julio Baptista.
If he continues improving he may be wanted by Arsenal and in this case they may have to give him back as they won't want to pay Real's 20m euros valuation for him.
David Beckham is getting closer to becoming part of the squad again but he is injured. It may take a while until a decision on his position at Real Madrid may be made.

well i would love 2 see reyes return to arsenal for ova reasons. i think wenger will want him back 2 as i feel we have missed his assist and some of his passin ( well at the start of the season we did lol )
i will feel bad for baptista he didn't have the best start but he has recently been on form but personally i dont feel he fits into our style of play, also even if we did keep him he wouldn't start and i'm sure someone whos a great player doesn't wanna be stuck on the bench

Wenger wants to keep Baptista, and reports from Spain say that Real will not make the Reyes move permanent so next season we might see Reyes & Baptista both playing for Arsenal but i actually think Reyes will move on, to some other team .

i don't think arsenal should keep baptista, he's a great player but i don't think he fits into arsenal's style of play. but if wenger decides 2 keep him then thats fine.
i think reyes will come back 2 arsenal only untill he finds a new club in spain. as real won't pay the money for him.

Hola! Soy una chica de España y no se hablar muy bien Ingles pero lo voy a intentar, vale? venga ...
Reyes doesn't want to return to Arsenal. I think that he hasn't got any problem with the club. But imagine that you go out to another country, everything is differet...he wants to stay here in Spain.
But I also thing that he doesn't like Real Madrid club, because Capello is very special (is stupid....in my opinion).
Atletico de Madrid club wants Reyes, but only for one year, they don't want to buy him, they thing that Reyes price is ...I don't know how to sey it in English....that is very expensive? jajaja...ouch! sorry my English please..i'm a Spanish girl.
I hope Reyes return to Sevilla Football Club, is his ilusion.
Anyway...I'll always be Reyes fan.
